RiverSense 0
I'm throwing that one away. Taking preflop and flop action into account UTG could easily have AK or AA, although that would make for all the aces out which is a little less likely. And even if UTG is just screwing around SB has woken up and I'd put him on two pair or a set....maybe I give people to much credit though.
doubleatrain 0
I cry a little and fold the turn. Best case scenario is that we're tied with one of the players and the other is completely out of line. Not many people have the guts to 3-bet preflop with a hand like AJ and then play it out like that postflop. That and I don't like to call two cold on the turn in a marginal situation when it's not unlikely to have to call two more on the turn and a couple more on the river. devilsslide 0
Flop: The KK example in SSHE about just calling in really large pots comes to mind. But you're three betting here, it cuts the odds a little more, and the only real draw is the fd, so I think I three bet too. (I'm being affected by later action. I'm thinking we could have gotten away from this on the flop if we had just called).Turn: SB are UTG are really trying to represent strong hands. But the pot is so huge. So, I don't know. Zach6668 513
Is anybody worried about having to pay as many as 8 bets to show this down?I agree with you devilsside, I think the flop could have been just a call, and see what the SB does, as well as UTG.- Zach

Zach6668 513
That explains the post count. It also explains why I now suck at poker, and can barely beat .5/1 anymore.

NocturnalRob 0
At least your beating it.I'm playing NL now.Ahh...NL. buy in for the minimum and push all top 10 hands. if you lose, rant about donkeys. if you win, laugh at caller(s) for being stupid enough to go up against you. doubleatrain 0
At least your beating it.I'm playing NL now.I'm playing PLO8...not necessarily doing a bang up job at that either, personally. I was thinking about starting up some NL practice, but I'm worse at cash game NL than I am at limit.Ahh...NL. buy in for the minimum and push all top 10 hands. if you lose, rant about donkeys. if you win, laugh at caller(s) for being stupid enough to go up against you. Repeat, repeat, repeat.Or there's the ever popular "Smasharoo method." Buy in for the max, move in with aces and kings, call with any pocket pair or suited ace and push in if you hit a set or flush. RISEorFall 0
i hate NL online. Too many people that think they're on tv. which is great if you flop something huge but really frustrating when you have AK on A73 flop and someone pushes all in. I stick to live NL because I can pick up tells and read people much better. NL tourneys are great, though, live or online.

I think I'll stick with that for now I'm tempted to clean up my NL cash game play because there's gotta be so much money in it online these days. I personally know a sizable number of people who think they know all there is to know about NL but are terrible. These same people, however, understand they know nothing about limit so they avoid it. I actually found a nice little "instructional" video some guy put on YouTube.com last night that really tempted me to start playing NL.I suppose I should get really good at one form before switching, though. psujohn 0
I'm waiting for Ed Miller's NL book. I'll read it and crush NL for about a year when enough other people will have read it that small stakes NL will become the rock garden that limit has turned into.I'll mix things up every now and again playing a NL SNG or some heads up limit on UB. Played 2 NL HU SNGs today and won both. I'm planing to TP/MM.

But I think he aspires to beat every game - ZachI think I want too much to beat every game and have become mediocre at multiple games. I'm a mediocre hold 'em player (limit and NL) a mediocre 8 or better player (omaha and stud) and a subpar omaha/razz/stud hi player. Here's to being a passably successful limit hold 'em player! Yeah, that is a good goal, but that will take a ton of time. I'm focusing on my LHE game for now, and later, like when my BR will support some diversion, I'm going to branch off into small stakes NL, more PLO, Stud, etc.- Zach
