Bubba83 0
Tourney paid to 18 spots, only small increases in pay until the FT, so I'm looking to accumulate chips for a top spot.Playing 8-handed. I am 11th in chips.Only one person at the table has a lower chip count than me, and he is in MP.I have 7,340 tournament chips.Blinds are 400/800 with a 100 ante.I am dealt 9c 9d UTG.1) Fold.2) Limp.3) Raise 2.5-3.5x and call a re-raise all-in.4) Raise 2.5-3.5x and fold to a re-raise all-in.5) Raise All-In.Do what? Why?
Rocketwadster 0
May seem weird, but I think you can fold there. Any bet you make will commit too many of your chips, so a push would be the better play than a raise, however, being UTG, you have many players left to act after you, you are a short stack, so the larger stacks will want to eliminate you with perhaps less than stellar holdings, plus, a push sometimes smells of weakness. Highly unlikely that a hand worse than pocket 9's would call you there (unless it is a big stack), so you will be in a coin flip or way behind situation.
gobears 0
With an M<4, I'm pushing with any PP from UTG. You're 2nd to last and need to get some chips. You've made the money and in order to make the FT and get some bigger $, you're going to have to take some chances.Easy Push IMHO
jhub30 0
Push. It's getting later in the tourney, you don't have a lot of chips, & you're gonna have to get in a coin flip eventually. If you run into a higher pair, oh well.
Waffles2003 1
I actually say 3 because you want to go heads up if there is a raise or u want to see the flop and still "raise" or "fold" on the flop leaving you with some chips to still make an all in move later. It would leave you with 5K, enough to make another move if needed. I am a conservative player so I may be wrong.

I think you can expect a number of calls from Ax hands where x < 9, meaning we are well ahead, I think it's an easy push, and I'm very happy to be able to pick up a hand like this in this situation. But even then, my image is tight and I pushed UTG.

Even if we do, we are racing, which I agree we will have to shortly, but not necessarily here. My fold is due to our position only. Had we been in MP, I would push, but UTG, I think we can let it go.
