I have Jc, Jd (sorry about no converter on this one)Pre-flop: I raise to $2. 3 callersFlop (board: 9s 5h 8h): bb, mp1 check I bet $2, they callTurn (board: 9s 5h 8h Js): I bet $2 BB folds, mp1 calls River (board: 9s 5h 8h Js 6d): mp1 checks, I... check or bet? I'm pretty clueless here as to what he could have.

Irrational to fear the gut shot, only because you just need to break it down. The hands that beat you are, QT, T7, 7x. Your fear would not be unfounded if he check raised you on the turn, or even led out the river. But from the evidence shown, he's sitting on a busted flush draw possibly with at least one over (an ace I would presume). You bet the turn and bet the river. More than likely he doesnt call the river, but you get the advantage that you didn't have to show your hand and one extra bet if he does call. If he check raises you on the river, then you call but you can't give credit to him on this hand solely for the reason that he called all the way down with a 7 in the hole.Checking is only all right if you are going to see his hand, are going to be sitting at the table for a while, and want to see what he played all the way down with. If none of those apply checking is wrong, near as I can tell.

I click the bet button as fast as I could, hoping to get 2 or 3 bets out of it.
