I thought this one was intereseting. The complete preflop is a little loose...but I probably make it too.The flop is a really good one for you since there is a rainbow and you have the wrap draw. I probably lead out here and call a button raise. (the way button is playing it looks like he has qq here). With this route, I would be leading out on the turn again as well. And of course check the river, and fold/call depending on opponent....or how tilted I was. I hardly ever c/r in O8....usually backfires on me.However, the way you played it wasn't too bad. Especially c/r'ing the button....could have possibly drove out flush draws if this was higher limits...(it obviously didn't drive anyone out here)
Swift_Psycho 1
Pre-flop is meh.I like leading the flop here to try and eliminate backdoor low draws. If button raises, I call and re-access on the turn.
greatwhite 0
I'd probablly complete from the sb as well. I'd feel much better if the ace was suited though. I agree with betting/calling the flop to knock out low draws or making them pay for their stupidity. If I got raised I'd just call it.
dms26 3
thanks, I definately wouldn't play this hand outside the blinds. But I thought almost 6-1 was good enough to see a flop.

Chamonyx 0
On a high board like that, it is not bad idea to lead out if you have ANYTHING. In a reasonably tight game everyone else will often fold (it may also have happened here, if Button was trying to steal). If you get played back at you can then decide what you want to do - here I would definitely stick around and may even re-raise.Given the way you played the flop, I like your CR on the turn a lot: make the flush draws and boat draws pay.If BB or CO bet this river, I am folding.Notice the advantage of thinning the field on the flop before a flush draw presents itself on the turn. dms26 3
Notice the advantage of thinning the field on the flop before a flush draw presents itself on the turn.I probably should have stopped to think how many straight outs I had on the turn, then I probably would have check/raised. Butr I don't know if it would have worked anyway. BB called 2 cold on the turn with a 9 high flush draw and a pair of 9's. CO had no flush draw, and I think just a pair or straight draw. I know I need to get more aggressive with strong draws on O8 on the flop. I have a habit of playing passive until the river because if seems like if you have the nuts or near nuts on the turn you never have it on the river. It's a fun game but it drives me nuts sometimes. Oh well, it's +EV for you to get that call in the long run. Hopefully the river will be more kind to you next time.
