Dhall901 0
Anyone else see this bullshit? Didnt pay attention to the action, I think it goes:Kathy raises UTG with AJ, one guy cold calls with AJ and the BB(this is 3 handed) goes all in with QQ immediately. Kathy reluctantly folds, the other guy is thinking about what to do and says"I guess you got AJ beat?"kathy then says, overtly, AJ, you have AJ? Then snorts like its a weak hand, cueing the guy in on the fact that he should fold. Normally you wouldnt think it would be beneficial for her to help another player but the guy with AJ was the chip leader and the guy with Queens had around the same amount as Kathy, she definitely does want to see him double up as shes currently in contention with him for 2nd.She really seems to have no class, from what Ive seen of her on battle of the sexs (Kristy Gazes goes off on her after she makes some snide passive agressive remarks) and now this, Im really sick of her.She busted the next hand btw.I'm sure Kathy didn't think quickly enough to try to persuade the guy to fold his AJ. I think she was genuinely surprised that he had the same hand as she just folded, and reacted without thinking.Liebert didnt come off as classy on the WPT, especially when she acted SHOCKED and disgusted that the guy called her 8X BB all-in raise with Q10s, saying "he called me with Q high" and the like (she had A7 off) It actually turned out to be almost a coinfip, which he won.despite her faults and transgressions, i am willing to forgive her because of her startling beauty and feminine grace........s/wWho makes that call with Q10? The guy was playing tighter than a 12year old the whole time and flips the hand like he had a monster. He put his tournament on the line with two pretty spades, not a good play. srblan 0
Roberto should have been penalized according to the rules. Kathy was out of line, but she didn't do anything technically illegal IMO.

Im not buying it, struck me as an angle shot.About the Q10 call, he didnt put his tournament on the line, he just doubled up and had her covered by plenty. Hes looking to bust her to move up in the money. Hes not that big of a dog in this situation and the way she played her hand its a bit doubtful that she has a hand that hes a real dog to, unless its KQ/QJ/A10
21gambit 0
Matt Savage responded in a thread regarding the AJ hand on whether or not it was 'legal':From: Matt Savage - view profile Date: Thurs, Mar 23 2006 10:45 am Email: Matt Savage <43079...@recpoker.com> Groups: rec.gambling.poker First of all the hand should NOT be dead, but I do agree there should be some kind of penalty here. Daniel and I had a long discussion/ argument about this because he thinks it is part of a skill of poker to talk about your hand.....I disagree. While I agree it makes for good television players talking about the contents of there hand is a bad idea for a few reasons. 1. How do we as tournament directors know that the players involved are not friends and just trying to give information to collude? 2. In a tournament situation I believe that every pot affects everyone still in the tournament and NOT just the players involved in the hand. 3. Players coming into poker tournaments for the first time are often intimidated by this kind of behavior and I want to keep everyone coming back. 4. If it was allowed to continue we as tournament directors would be bombarded with questionable instances where this occours. Daniel had just come from the NBC heads up show and I can understand why he thinks it would be good for him and other top pros but I think the negatives outweigh the positives. Any opinions here? ---I assume he is talking about DN, but it kind of comes out of left field in the thread. No one mentioned DN in the previous posts etc. An interesting debate/discussion though.Wow, I didnt know it was illegal at the WPT to discuss your hand. Im just used to the rules of the local NL cash games. The whole thing is mangled then.Obv kathy is wayyy out of line by talking about a hand while not involved though, much greater offense. In cash games, you can often flip over cards trying to get information out of your opponent. In tournaments this is strictly forbidden.

smoothcall 0
would it be possible to dedicate a whole forum to kathy liebert bashing? i too have an almost irrational hatred of her for really no "good" reason. we all know how frustrating this game can be, and im thinking we can use the forum for something like a prosaic stress ball.
