Ron_Mexico 4,232
I don't want to be involved in the bread line. it wasn't offered to people above a certain rank. I am uninterested in charity. I feel like after all this time in corporate America, you still don't get it. I mean, good luck with all that. Maybe your sheer genius and usefulness will overcome the spitting in the face of the people that control your future, but unless you're a killer salesman, I doubt it. But hey, at least you know you're smarter than most everyone in the room. That is a currency you can pay your mortgage with. InternetExplorer 2,615
I'll be ok, even if it blows up in my face (which it won't). my boss knew I was kidding about the acting offended. something about the situation made me uncomfortable, so I didn't do it. I can't say exactly what it was. some dumbasses actually bought more shirts from the guy. one of them for sure makes $35k. where does a $150 shirt fit into that budget?

David_Sklansky 1,906
If you aren't from a country boardering the Medeteranian, I'm not letting you tailor my clothing. That's just some real real for y'all. Maybe certain Orientals under the right circumstances.

brvheart 1,765
If there's one thing Algerians are famous for, it's their tailoring. I'll bet Algeria has some pretty awesome tailors. I had a suit tailored when I was in Afghanistan. It cost me about $100, so how could I pass it up? It fits ok, but I'll bet a random dude from Crete could have really made me look fly.
AmScray 354
I flew to Thailand one time and got custom tailored suits. My main reason for flying to Thailand was the cheap Asian whores but a side benefit was that they would also custom tailor you a suit of clothes. Weird part was, it turned out the higher degree of capital efficiency wasn't the $20 Thailand whores, but the $200 Thailand suits. I could stay here and buy Asian whores cheaper here than I could stay here and buy custom tailored suits.
David_Sklansky 1,906
Yeah, I've never actually experienced the Asian/Musliteranian tailers, but have heard good things. I don't have a use for more than a suit or two, so I'm already way beyond capacity, but if I ever come aross a sign for bespoke Moroccan suits or something, I'll test my hypothesis. AmScray 354
All people are either suit people or non suit people. I am a suit person (when not sitting around in the same torn t shirt and sweatpants I've been wearing since my last shower 3 days ago) but can confirm that having a custom suit done is worth every penny, as long as that penny is valuated in terms of marginally 3rd world buying power. I'd never pay some Italian a ton of money to make a custom fitted suit but I'd happily pay peanuts for some Thai chap to make me one.

I agree with all of this, up until not paying some italian a ton of money. I'd even give it to a Frenchman, provided he didn't still smell like mustard gas. But if some blond Anglo faggot comes at me with the tape, I'm telling his Mormon ass to get back to medical school or the Precious Moments showroom or whatever those idiots do, and leave the craftsmanship to the craftsraces.

AmScray 354
I bet Spaniards can make a nice suit of clothes. Does anyone know if there is a custom suit industry in Spain? Milan or Bologna, their prices for custom suits were just unreal. Granted, the quality level is insane too but seems like they're getting a bit ahead of themselves. Share one single border with Switzerland and the next thing you know, they think they price as Caucasian.

SuitedAces21 2,729
those are good choices, for sure. fassbender is the top actor going right now. and watch Macavoy in TRANCE or ATONEMENT and tell me he isn't top five.
David_Sklansky 1,906
John Holmes in the Johnny Wadd series. All in To me it was like James Marsden in 27 Dresses. Great actor, great for the role, no chemistry with Adams. Same with Holmes and Felicia Sanda.
