and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

Thera, what are your thoughrs on the Chimay beers? Too pricey for the return? I know I got one, the grand reserve, it was 12 bucks or something. Decent, but for 12, I wanna be buzzed after it

Going to pick up my suit for the wedding I'm in. We're purchasing them instead of renting, which is kinda nice. $160 + $50 for tailoring. I lack decent clothes, so this will be a helpful addition.

Baptism tomorrow. 25 people coming. Should be a nice day.

Not much going on Sunday/Monday for me. And then vacation is over. I'm taking the 12th and 13th of September off for a lil 4 day weekend. Nothing planned for that either, although it is my birthday, which last year was spent in NYC falling in love with Matt Harvey in person. RIP.

I've only had one of them, and it was a long time ago when it was one of main unique beers. I think Chachi really likes one, but in general I don't think it's worth the money unless you really love it.

That said, I spent $25 on 60 ounces of bottled beer yesterday that I've never tried, so that's probably not worth it either.

Trip Report Day 1:

Had a nice flight to Dallas. They served Thai chicken over rice and a delicious cheesecake for dessert. Plus, unlimited vodka sodas. I was a little too drunk though.

Bizzle got us a room at the La Quinta near the Winstar casino. It's actually quite nice with free breakfast and a pool and a big fitness center for shredding.

I'm going to play Day 1C tomorrow so today is cash games and relaxing. Maybe a movie. I haven't been to a movie theater in over a year. That's crazy to type.

Edit: they import Palm beer from the Netherlands now. Try it Ron, you'll love it.

It will definitely burst at some point, but I think the question is what does burst mean? That all the shitty breweries go out of business? Miller/Coors/Bud are losing small portions of the market every day. Their advertising efforts to retain their customers are laughable at times. They'll always have the vast majority of business, but do you know any people that regularly go back to the macro swill after switching to craft? So I think the market will keep growing slowly, the breweries that aren't that good will die off, and everyone will be pushed to always improve their beer. Consumers win/win/win.

Sadly, thats the way midwesterners think on the whole

I do drink macro-swill from time to time and i'm not always trying new. Sometime I drink for volume, not taste.

As I've stated before, i enjoy some fruity beers and Lost Coast is my favorite brewery. I'll try different stuff all the time, but if I just want a cheap, good buzz, fire me up an 18pk of Plattys

How big does it have to he to be a macro brew? SeaDog? Shipyard? If its sold at Publix, is it mainstream?

5pm yet? No?

Got a flyer via email telling me that beer is 30% off for Labor Day weekend. They have a varied selection. Its a place called World Market. Anyone have one of those? It has a pretty large wine and champagne section and the beer section is growing. Have a bunch of those Chimay corked bottles, 6pks and singles.

They primarily sell home goods. At 30% off though, I gotta check it out. I still have about 150 beers to buy. I figure 230 or so is a good number. I'm sure i'm overestimating. Some of my people can drink. Hell, the Mrs can throw back 8 or 9 of her beers (and be pretty drunk) i can do 15 easy, as can a few friends, although I dont think they do because I always seem more drunk. Well, most times

We have them out West. At least I think they're the same, called Cost Plus World Market here. You should fall in love with the store. Not just because of the booze selection but they have a pretty good selection of kitchen stuff and different food items from around the world. I can never walk out empty handed.

I'll do my best Ronny. But I doubt I actually go out, and if I do it better be to a place with top notch air conditioning cause its hot as fvck out there.

Here too. 7 am it was 80 degrees with 55% humidity. Not what LA livin' is supposed to be about.

Gimme an Ice cold Budweiser any day of the week and twice on Sundays. you queers can keep your fruity beers, me and ole bud gonna be just fine.

Doesn't help your case much.

Definitely the same place Tilty. I've never gotten any food from there but have gotten some kitchen toys, a fair amount of beer and numerous bottles of champagne. Used to love my Sunday morning bfast and mimosas. Started filling a cool jar with the corks. Need to finish that. Maybe football season will help with that

The Craft Brewers Association (they're a snobby, obnoxious lot, overall) recently changed the "definition" of craft because of Sam Adams, which is the largest. It's based on percentage ownership, and how many barrels you produce. The CBA's only goal is pretty much keep out anything made by the big 3, such as Goose Island and Blue Moon, which are owned by InBev and Coors, respectively. Goose Island still makes a damn fine product, they were just bought out by the big guys and now have a huge budget and distribution and shelf space, which makes the smaller guys unhappy.

Basically just Coors/Miller/Bud owned are macro in the US. InBev owns Bud, which owns a whole shit ton of things. Corona/Heineken fall under those companies somewhere I think.

Also, why drive to the gym to walk/run? Why not find a nice trail or do it around your hood? If you aint slingin iron, get out in nature a little

Trails where people go are encouraging because everyone is out there exercising and are usually friendly. Throw you a head nod or a waive as they go by. Bike riders, joggers, walkers. All of em. Its a solid community of like minded people

You can find a good interval timer app on your phone. Good stuff

I don't walk to the gym because I don't want people to see me. Whenever I see a fat person exercising outside, I think something along the lines of "gross" or "try not to die, loser". I don't need that kind of self-esteem boost everytime a car drives past me.

I'm confused by this part of your post. Is that "hot"?

If you really think that, which I cant imagine you do, then you're a huge tool. Shouldnt you think "hey, good for them for making the effort"?

But you're probably just doing that brvhrt thing of over the top vulgar humor
