Well my dad is a CFP and when he took the exam all he had to do was register because he was a lawyer. Now you have to take a capstone course which can be done online. But I looked over the website and its called "challenge status" and they accept certain education as a replacement for the actuall classes.

 

Ya, I edited. I think it's silly. Hey you have an advanced degree in a almost unrelated field, we let you take an exam to get another advanced designation.

Hope you fellows did use up too many pages in my absence... after witnessing shane snort a crushed up adderall last week and lighting up a cigar in the backseat of the sailplane I was driving, I cant stand too much more excitement...

 

 

 

The lift just south of Jean was amazing.... too bad the sudden plume of smoke in the cockpit and the resulting panic attack spoiled the view for several minutes. If id been wearing a chute there wouldve been a wingwalk addition to the ole logbook for sure

 

 

 

Other than the normal twelve hour twenty one session and binge drinking it was a pretty peaceful trip. Hung out for a day with the counts kustoms guys and lent a hand timing the cams on a five valve v-eight. Shot helium balloons with tracers in the desert. Acquired a giant air conditioner meant to cool several thousand square feet that should be arriving here via flatbed any day now. Came from a casino never to be and still in the crate. Since it weighs more than my roof can hold, its going on a concrete pad out back, piped in with five foot diameter ducting...

 

 

 

Probably wont get it hooked up and running until next summer, though. Requires roughly the same amperage as a delorean time machine to run. Yeah, the electric company engineer asked me the same question when the service upgrade request was called in. Told him it was for the first ever indoor mt everest simulator. Plus it was virtually free... not counting the five grand or so for shipping and install of course. May have to file bankruptcy when the light bill hits the box. Figure it will take roughly a minute to lower the temp from eighty to sixty. Enough cfm for several twelve inch registers pointing outside to cool the basketball court. Bet even jordan dont have an outdoor climate controlled practice area. Hell, somebody has to...why not me

 

 

 

So, back to the jeep project.... got my eleven year old niece hanging out with me for a while so a few breaks will be taken to amuse her. Already stuck her on the lawnmower and four wheeler. Today I figure some skeet shooting. She should be able to shoulder a twenty gauge. Only one way to find out. A little mig welding and oxy/acet tennis ball cannon action thrown in should make for a fun day. Once the kid brings back my new phone Ill document the proper procedure for babysitting the youngins. My last one was destroyed in a tragic accident inside a casino bathroom. Never tote one in a shallow side pocket on cargo shorts. These new iphones are magnetically attracted to turds. Im waiting on the recall notice as we speak...

 

I'm assuming you own your own glider? I'm sure I told you I worked for a glider company in the 90's in Nevada.

 

How many years have you had your license? How much wave have you sailed? Highest altitude? We always had to call SFO when we broke 18k, but the highest I ever got in those beautiful lenticulars was 28k. I'm assuming you have my record destroyed, because other employees at my airport did.

However, since we are doing top 3 people, I'll do mine for people I would want to hang out with, which is basically the same thing:

 

1. Beans (There's an absolute fall off a cliff drop to 2nd place after Beans.)

2. Strat (Strat and I would be really good friends if we lived near each other.)

3. Napa (Napa is wonderful, and I would jump at the chance to hang out with him again. If I didn't know him in real life already, I'm sure he would be much lower.)

4. Essay (This might not be an accurate/honest placement for Essay, but I love him, and can't risk hurting his feelings.)

5. Speedz (He's this low because he's never here, but Speedz is a great guy, and I would love the chance to hang out with him)

6. Shake (We are very similar outdoorsy/libertarian type people, and I'm confident we would be great friends if we lived near each other.)

7. Ocho (Guapo and I would definitely be friends. I've spoken with him on the phone, and it wasn't weird. That's a huge plus. He's a very nice guy. That counts for a lot in my book.)

8. Mexico (This is low for how fun and nice Mexico is, but he'll have to deal with it. He losses points because he thinks I'm an idiot for hating blowjobs. I mean, seriously? Can you guys believe that?)

9. Iphonekinder (Extremely interesting person.)

10. Ouch (Seems like a nice guy, even though most of his content is sarcastic rips on people. He is clearly funny and lighthearted. He would be excellent in a group setting of friends, but maybe awkward one-on-one.)

11. JJJ (Mainly so low, despite being interesting, because I'm not actually sure how much he's annoyed by me. Going by his posts, I would say he probably doesn't like me too much, which would make him less fun to hang out with. I also don't like how closed he is with information. His standoffishness in regards to his personal life makes him feel less genuine and open. I need my good friends to be open.)

12. Randy (We are at opposite ends of everything, but he's such a nice genuine guy that he gains several spots. I've sure we would be friends.)

13. TG (I don't know anything about him, except that he loves women. I'm sure he'd be fun to hang out with.)

14. Wang (We would be fast friends, and I find him interesting. Loses points for not actually being a member of the site anymore.)

15. Tilt (I'm sure he's nice. I have no idea if his personality would annoy the hell out of me in real life, but it might. I love that he's a family man, and seems to love his family. That's a huge plus in my mind.)

16. Thera (I actually think Thera is great, but we haven't interacted very much in the life of the thread. I'm sure we would be good friends if we ever got to hang out, although I HATE beer and soccer, and he would have to learn to deal with that. Also, I felt bad putting Tilt last, so Thera and a few others got dropped a couple spots)

17. Quack (Don't even know who this is. Rhinestone maybe? I don't know. I've gotten the feeling that this person doesn't like me though, so that's not good.)

18. NickCave (I still don't know why JJJ said he was NickCave at one point, and I'm skepical that he is even a real person. So he's last. Hey Cha Cha, can you find that post for me? Thanks Whiskers.)
