I Called In Sick Today

Recommended Posts

Being ignored hurts worse than a no, I think. Cuz you KNOW that bitch got the text and she just fcking deleted it. Wait, yeah, um, never mind.
Does it really hurt from someone you haven't reached out to in 6+ months?Odds are someone else is already plugging that leak anyway so no lovin for Napa, but I say go for it.

and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

Yeah, the worst thing that could happen is she say yes and then I have to actually go on a date and find stuff to talk about in order to get to the part of the relationship where we just co-exist and I pay for stuff.

I think calling and asking her out is a lot of pressure for both of you. I'd set up a night out drinking with a group of friends (this has to include at least a couple of girls, preferably good looking ones) and then send her a casual text asking if she'd like to tag along. And tell the truth about why it's been so long since you've contacted her minus the part about you being a pussy. Just apologize and say you had a lot going on when you got her number. It makes you look like a dude who isn't desperate. Anyway, if she texts back and shows up, great. If not, you still get to get drunk with your friends.

exponentially worse. and I sucked then. maybe I should move to new york city. what do you guys think? think I'd die within a month?turd: dude probably already knows he stinks and either doesn't care or can't help it. either way, your comments will not help him (or you).
says the stinky guy.So on Friday I am sitting in my office with two other guys from my office. One of them says, hey I got a funny story to tell you. I replied "I'll be the judge of that, but my guess is, if it doesn't involve rape, it's really not going to be funny" He says, "ummm, no, no rape". I looked at him annoyed and wave my hand in a manner that says "fine, proceed with your rapeless story"The story he tells is actually about a guy who is subletting an office and is a convicted child molester and child pornographer. I then stopped him, and said in a more upbeat and interested tone, "so you were holding out on me, it IS about rape." The other guy who really hadn't said anything just lost it at this point. He (the story teller) then agreed, that the story is indeed about rape.

This is what makes asking her out such a terrible plan.

She knows about us and this site. He may be worried about her checking it out. And don't discount the "get laid" advice. It really does help with self confidence and put a spring in your step. It makes you care more about getting into shape. Vagina builds bridges, tills soil, generates commerce and gets men to move mountains. I'm serious. If not, check your testosterone. Again
I need to drop about 20 or 30 and I'll be completely happy. my weight didn't have any bearing on this current situation, because I didn't have a chance either way, but why carry around 30 extra pounds every day?man, I wish I could have recorded conversations with this girl for you guys to hear. well, no, I don't, but you know what I mean. I'm a confident, funny guy now. these people loved me.
Just text her you pussy. What's the worst that can happen?Edit: Advice for Napa, not Rando.
I think it's also great advice for rando.

You're overestimating how many friends I have. Plus most of us are all out of school and moved. She's just still in grad school. Which is kinda why I was thinking of manufacturing a run in with our mutual friend. Idk. I hate myself. Plus there's almost no way she has my number so I'd have to do the "hey this is napa...wanna bang?" text. Or something. I should just give up.

i had to do stand up comedy twice for a writing class. the first time i killed cause everyone was drunk. the second time i bombed cause everyone was sober and they all laughed at this girl's jokes about her life as a christian.my favorite joke was "i've never raped a girl, but i have been accused of rape, which has all the negative aspects and none of the positives. (audience silent) i'm just kidding there's nothing funny about rape... well there is but you had to be there."i think i was the only one in the room laughing.

Hmm. But your friends are going to this college thing? Or are you going by yourself?

A few, maybe 2 or 3 that she would know. But it's not like its a centralized party or anything, it's the bars all packed full, parties at every house/lawn, some concerts on campus etc. And my little sister is coming up since she turns 21 that weekend so I'll be spending some time with her friends and stuff. Idk.

Oh what the fck. I'll try to keep it short.Okay, a month ago my mother in law got hurt at the doctors office. Spinal injury, serious stuff. There is going to be a huge lawsuit obviously. Easy case of negligence. My son is an attorney. He shares an office with a big time civil attorney basically so he can learn from her. 25 years of experience, done mass tort, extremely qualified for this case, worked for Stan Chelsey the largest civil litigator in the world for 18 years. . Other firms higher her for this type of case since she's an expert. When I originally called my son he put her on the phone and she knew the hospital, doctors, injury, etc.... She gave intitial advice on what the family should be doing like not contacting the place it happened, taking pictures and keeping a journal, etc.Bottom line is my wife and her brother don't want to hire her or my son. They won't even meet with them. She called her (ex) divorce attorney and had him reccomend someone. The case would be huge for my son's career down the road as far as civil litigation and also, why would you want all the lawyer's fees to go to some stranger? If they weren't qualified to handle it would be one thing, but that isn't the case and she clearly does not even want to discuss it.Furthermore, I am the guy who has spent the last 5 years helping to take care of her mom, because you know, it was family.

I need to know why they don't want to hire her or your son. And it should be your decision anyway. Unless it's her money that is paying the attorney fees.Edit: Oh, I thought it was your mother, not mother in law. So never mind about that.

I'd just send her a text then. Don't ask her out or anything. Just say you're going and that it would be cool to see her there. Maybe try to add a little joke in there. Keep it relaxed.

How do you feel about banging your little sister's friends?
In theory I'm all for it. But, I'd hate to have it get back to my sister about how terrible I was. catch-22 or something. Plus let's not forget Im neither attractive or charming or rich.

Sorry Rando, I'm with them. Sure, would it be good for his career if shit goes right? Absolutely. But I think there is too much risk if it doesn't go just as everyone wants. It could create resentment. Keep it a business transaction with a lawyer that was referred. Best to start fresh with a qualified guy. That way there is no family conflict, he can easily be fired, etc. As a parent, I'm sure you want to help your son and also believe that he's the best for the job, but since it's her mother, you have to defer. As much as it pains you and as much as you've done for her, you gotta take the backseat on this one. And just start putting all the old people you know in a home. Stop being so damn nice

More importantly, it's his sister's 21st. How does he feel about multiple corn farmers plugging his sister's leak while he's around?Text the girl, announce who it is in the text, write something about it being a while. If she responds, let her know you'll be in town and would love to see a friendly face...blah blah blah, let's get together for a drink or 7

with some girls, being charming is MOST of the battle. in my experience, it's possible to learn to be charming.
agreed, but it appears you're either selecting the wrong girls to charm or you're being friend guy a little too much. Be charming with a bit of an R rated angle from time to time. Can't let em forget you're a man and they're a cute girl. It sounds so stupid and manly and I'm anything but, but I think it applies
