Tiltinagain 973
Hey, we haven't discussed tipping in a while.I wonder if faggots that do stuff like this realize that if their waiter/waitress did "get a real job" that there would be no body to serve them their hundred and twenty fucking three dollar lunch? Or that, in most cases in CA anyway, this poor girl will be taxed on the tip she didn't receive. I've never worked in a restaurant but from observation I'd be willing to bet the wait staff works harder in a day that this douche does all week. Not really sure why but this kind of BS really pisses me off and makes me want to punch them in the throat. Napa Lite 3,278
So I've been throwing around the idea that if I do get a new job downtown that'd I'd move downtown and live in a sweet loft. It'd probabaly be double what I pay now in rent (not a lot), but still pretty reasonable, especially if I get a new job. Problem is all these super sweet new lofts are all government subsidized and have a maximum income limit that even shake makes to much to live there. If they go by take home pay, then I'd barely qualify and definitely won't if I get a new job. Makes no sense because there's no way somebody making those gross income levels could "afford" to live there. Besides, why do they want the poors living there anyways? They're not going to be the ones providing an economic boon when they're spending all their money on rent anyways.
DJ Vu 176
That post is kind of all over the place, isn't it?You want to move to a place where the rent will be double but it's subsidized by the government so only poor people can live there but they'll still be spending all the money on rent. I also didn't really understand the connection between loft living and economic boon providing.Edit: Kind of surprising that wang's ex-girlfriend just turned 17.
iZuma 764
wouldn't be surprising if it were mine though would it
Napa Lite 3,278
I feel my post follows a logical sequence. I don't think they're technically lofts in the sense that they're not just an open space. They have actual partitioned bedrooms and stuff. Theyre just more open than a normal aprtment and are in converted warehouses and such. And presumably, they want people living downtown so that they're more likely to frequent stores and such. But the people they allow to live there probably don't have the discretionary income because the rent is still a large percentage of their income. So I don't know why the govt would subsidize these particular apartments. And if I moved it would be probably be about double what I pay now (I dont pay much now), but it would mean being able to walk to the bars (and presumably work) as they are close to the skywalk which connects to most major employers are is really close to them. So I think the trade off of higher rent would be worth it for a nicer place of my own that's super convenient. Of course, there's a few things that need to happen for this to even have a chance, namely getting a job downtown with a modest raise, but a boy can dream.
speedz99 145
I like it when speedz gives real answers to jokes.I don't think he was kidding. So what does she do? She puts it in the ****ing church newsletter. Birthday party at Mooselodge, free food and drinks, no present required, 1 to 4 .Are you kidding me?Screwed over by religion yet again.like, I know, $10 in food, sounds great, right? what I would order comes to like $15 after tax and tip, and of course the sitting there alone at what is now a nightly high school reunion establishment. The move is to go there, order, and take it all to go.So, my sister turns 21 in about 2 months. Thinking of going to where she goes to school to go out that night with her and try to hit on some of her friends...and by hit on her friends I mean flash a little money, buy some shots and hope one of them will talk to me.I'd respond to this, but I'm not your favorite, so WHAT WOULD YOU CARE.Edit: Kind of surprising that wang's ex-girlfriend just turned 17.Huh? iZuma 764
ugh, so it looks like I'm being recruited/promoted here in a little bit, but it's to a position that I don't really want, am not all that suited for, and won't really lead down the path that I want. and it won't be for much more money either, but I can probably haggle that a little. main problem is though, they pretty much said that unless I have a really good reason, I can't turn it down because they'd pretty much write me off if I did. my life: even the good stuff sucks. Seems like you can jump from one path to another in this company and if you prove you're a "team player" and are competent then you'll be more likely to get jerked around some more have some say about where in the company you go next. Roll the Bones 74
Cliff Notes: Christians are incompetent socialists.Oh geez, I apologize if they came off as a religous rant. It wasn't intended. I was taking a couple tramadol pain meds for some sacroiliac tendonitis (my ass hurts down to me knee) and must not have conveyed the humor as intended, which isn't anything new in and of itself.I couldn't believe this nutty secratary did a mass email to over thousands of people in the church inviting them to her birthday party. I mean wtf? Thankfully she got the wrong day though it did result in a over a hundred people showing up.Since you have to be a member of the Moose lodge, you can't get in without being beeped in, or showing ID at the door if there is an attendant which they normally have during the evening. On Sundays the door is locked. So, our friends that rented the space for us took us up to show us the room Sunday and there was this huge line of people outside waiting for 1:00 for the door to open. We had no idea what they were doing or who they were. When we got inside and found out we freaked out, and I obviously died laughing. Deb not so much.

If I knew more about what vb is talking about, I bet I could push him over the edge. When MK gets that fired up, I picture him sorta jumping up and down while still seated in his chair in front of 8 giant screens turning red while frantically pecking at the key board with just his two index fingers with a slight hint of steam coming from the top of his head.
