It's all about your initial salary. Unless you're a super-duper star but even then you're probably going to have a hard time.I would say counter with a higher amount.There's a ton to consider. You've got the hours worked / quality of life / cost of living to start.California has a higher cost of living than say Vir...some other state. Please and Thanks.I don't have a dentist that is so crazy good (like the doctor I noted(He really is that good, I don't even mind overselling him, because I know you'll love him)) that I would even bother mentioning. We go to Sunset Dental in Norwalk, but I wouldn't recommend it over any other random dentist, unless you get someone pregnant (high five!), because they are great with kids.I don't have a optometrist, since my eyesight is crazy awesome. At one point I had (confirmed by an iDoctor) 20/10 vision, but it's already noticeably slipping in my old age. I would guess I'm now 20/16 or 20/20. I do enjoy the color choices, and I'm assuming that's what you meant, but the slim lapelled suit along with the wide tie and wide collared shirt... jesus, it's like, has this dude ever even blown a guy? fucking come on. and for the love of god, cinch up your tie not, it's not difficult.but no, I don't have a grey suit or pink tie. Unless you're a super-duper star but even then you're probably going to have a hard time.I would say counter with a higher amount.yep, I agree with this. you're (dawson) in a much higher power position than you think you are. it took me three YEARS to get the offer for the job I have now and you got two in what, a week? you should go back to the firm you want to work for and explain that you won't take as large of a pay cut as they're offering. if they tell you to fuck off, then fuck off and take the job in the new city (which sounds to me like a damn good opportunity as it is). but I mean, unless these companies operate completely different than any others I've worked for, you WILL be restricted on how quickly you move up both in position and salary, no matter how good you are.though I'm sure the deadlines for all this stuff have already passed and you've probably already made your decision. and I'm sure it was STUPID.
