BillyPilgrim 1
hey cap'n rando, thanks for the articles. i thoroughly enjoyed reading about how beating babies is the christian thing to do.
Dread Aidan 8
The most insane part of Sandusky's interview with Costas last night is the "Are you sexually attracted to young boys?" question. Now, if you aren't sexually attracted to young boys, then there's a pretty good chance you're abhorred by the thought, and some range of "No." to "What? Fuck no you sick fuck" are the only possible answers. Sandusky's answers? He repeats the question slowly, making sure he understands it, and doesn't reach the word "No" until after 16 seconds.I didn't see the interview, but it's not like Sandusky doesn't understand what he's been accused of. There's a difference between you or me being asked this question and the guy at the center of the biggest national scandal going right now. I would expect him to take his time with the question and make sure he's not being trapped or misunderstood. But, like I said, I didn't see the interview. Or, um, click your link. But I'll at least do the latter eventually.
Dread Aidan 8
Or, um, click your link.Apparently the link has nothing to do with the rest of your post. But it did lead me to this youtube clip, which had me laughing a whole lot more than it should have.
Roll the Bones 74
hey cap'n rando, thanks for the articles. i thoroughly enjoyed reading about how beating babies is the christian thing to do.Yeah, beating kids to death with rods doesn't quite get the airtime that having anal sex with them does. But what did you think about Anna K leaving Biggest Loser? The inside scoop is she was pretty mean and uncaring to the fat people.
BillyPilgrim 1
But what did you think about Anna K leaving Biggest Loser? Like the inflection of his voice when he talks about horsing around or touching their leg. Creeper.

Dread Aidan 8
There is an uproar over the people that beat babies in the name of Jesushttp://www.alternet.org/belief/153006/beat...alternet_belief Brvy is not going to like the headline here. These are people who believe that proper discipline of a child includes smacking them around some and they also happen to be Christians (sometimes prominently so). But nowhere does it say that this belief comes from Jesus or the Bible.

These are people who believe that proper discipline of a child includes smacking them around some and they also happen to be Christians (sometimes prominently so). But nowhere does it say that this belief comes from Jesus or the Bible.there was one guy who wants to kill unruly teenagers like it says in the old testament. but we all know how brvy feels about that one. but semantically speaking, they could be advocating physical punishment of babies in the name of Jesus and Christianity - they just might have no basis for doing so. unless i dont know what semantically means, which is a good possibility. BillyPilgrim 1
Sure, they could be. It didn't say that in the article though.but what about THE IMPLICATION?You admit to it so it lends more credibility to your denials of other things. "Sure, I did this, this, and this, but I certainly didn't do that."it is certainly a cutting edge strategy. maybe i'm too much of a traditionalist, but i'll stick with not admitting to being at the scene of the alleged crime, naked with alleged victim - AND THEN ask people to believe me when i say i didnt anal rape. So you just try to put a positive spin on it. "You know, looking back, yeah, I probably should not have been hugging those boys while naked in the shower. I can see that now."When does this actually go to trial anyway?

strategy 4
Teaching physical education can be a rewarding career. Just don't shower with the students.objectively better than mineunless you think your job search could be long and difficult, the answer is probably to interview at the firm you want. I don't remember the exact timeline, but you've been at this for less than a month, right? no, I'm not settling.

Theraflu 1,035
why would his attorney allow him to do this? why would he think this was a good idea? admitting to showering with boys is not a sound legal / public relations strategy. On radio they thought maybe the attorney is trying to make him even more well publicized to taint the jury pool. I heard a rough estimate of 20 million people saw the Costas interview, so maybe there's something to that.He certainly needs to be coached up big time though. Costas did a good job, but didn't press him on much of anything. Any prosecutor would eat him alive, currently. There's also the thought that he's so fucked, it just doesn't matter what he says. Sorry I didn't link to it, but you should definitely be reading The Classical, and that was my original point of the post.

I heard a rough estimate of 20 million people saw the Costas interview, so maybe there's something to that.maybe. but it seems pretty thin to me (lethal weapon reference). can we talk officiating in ncaa basketball games? something needs to be done here - they're calling fouls every 12 seconds. BillyPilgrim 1
The pathetic level of play is more worrisome. Come back, NBA!yeah but they sure do hustle! and they really care about the game; not like those nba bums who dont play defense and just travel on every play.
