and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

Here's the other 97%: we don't really like him, so we look for ways to support that conclusion.
Okay, I'm completely on board:What a creep. I can't believe he was KEEPING something from you. I mean, it's YOU! How could he! And then that thing with not telling his MOM! It just shows he's not ready for a committed, meaningful relationship. He's building up all these barriers to hold you away emotionally while simultaneously clinging to you. It's a sign of immaturity. He's used to getting what he wants without having to work for it, without having to sacrifice for it.You're to good, smart, pretty, and mature for him. Why don't you find a guy who's at your emotional level.

Haha.Obviously he was really shitty for lying to me on Saturday, but to give y'all a more balanced view of him he was really sweet to me for the rest of the weekend. 1. He let me stay at his place for 3 nights when I was ill over the weekend (beating the previous record of 1 night) even though I am uhh probably highly infectious (shhh... I avoided mentioning that to him). 2. During that time he involved me in what he was doing the whole time, tried to entertain me and cheer me up (including googling "how to make Joanna happy" which amused me). 3. He walked to the store alone (a good 30 minute round trip) to get me medicine and grocery requests. 4. He told me I looked pretty even when I had zero makeup on, natural frizzy hair, and generally looked like death. 5. He spontaneously made up a really cute song about us (with guitar) that went on for about 15 minutes detailing our first dates, which made me smile and laugh even though I felt like death. Really wish I had a recording of "The Story of Joanna and Tony".6. He put up with me making dramatic statements like "I want to be dead" in my most despairing poor-ill-me moments. 7. He persevered with me replying "I don't know" every time he asked if I wanted him to get me any food for about 15 minutes. 8. After our "conversation" when I returned to the flat he refused to answer his phone or respond to his flatmates knocking on the door until he was satisfied that I was ok.That is just a list of random examples from the weekend of how he looked after me, I'm probably missing out a bunch of stuff. So you see, he has the capacity for good boyfriendness.

I can't tell if you agree with me that Shake's post was full of win.
I don't even know anymore. At this point, I'm just typing in random quotations that drift in and out of my head.

I understand the whole "barefoot" running thing, but flip-flops have to be a really bad way to achieve that goal, right? It can't be good for one's form to have those silly things flapping up and down during each step, mile after mile.
These don't actually flop around, the straps are elastic though you have to mess around getting the right fit.
I tried not running heel to toe today and looked like a complete jackass thank you very much
hahaha
I understand the miniature mining sleuse box there at the top....I have one myself....came from a mining camp out in the desertBUT WHAT THE HELL??? randoslostit.jpgId imagine that the neighbors are on full red alert over that thing...
haha, I was wondering if anyone was going to notice and play "Where's Froggy?" I mean C'mon that thing is hideous. Deb's mom gave it to her many years ago and it's been in the basement. I've been teasing her forever about putting it out in the front yard. Every time she throws it away I get it out of the garbage. But anyway, I knew I could count on beans to spot it.
Yeah. I'm not sure what he learned either.
Duh, not to get caught.

Well, a few pages back when I mentioned "Run LG Run!" it was actually a play on an old song some friends of mine wrote and used to sing called "Run Randy Run!" about an internet date with Heavy Duty Judy and a biker bar that went awry.

hahaha, really what was he thinking? The jerk.

Oh ma God I needed the laugh I got on ketchup..."zero hits"So I ran to the HomelessDepot a while ago for some random stuff. A kid offered to load my purchases so I took him up on it. While he was straining to lift the five gallon buckets of asphalt sealer I was reloading the canoflauge behind the wheel. He staggered up to the window afterward to bid farewell and I handed him the freshly loaded device..."Whats this?""A beer....its hot out here and you look like you need one""....uh....(stares at the can)....what the hell is this?""My own invention....you can now drink on the job and nobody will know""Jebus H....this is fuckin awesome!""Ya see, just a little motivation in life can be greatly rewarding""No shit!"I just hope hes able to draw unemployment in a few days...Right before I pulled out of the parking lot I rolled up on two good ole boys broke down in a beat up pickup"You fellows need some help?""Uh...tha oil light come on and were a justa checkin it"(Beans waits for the report while Cooter pulls the dipstick)"Got any in there?""Yeah, there a smidgen here on da end....you got any we could barrey?""No....I dont carry any in this rig""You reckon theys got any in there?"(points to HomelessDepot)"Well....they probably have some chainsaw bar oil or something you could use to get home with""Hey that theres a good idear!""Yeah...or you could do what Ive done in the past""Whats that?""...buy a longer dipstick""...."(Beans drinks off in the sunset)

Did anybody else actually google it? The first two sites were myspace, but the third was a news article. This was the headline:"Our happy, carefree Jo was dumped by the road like a piece of garbage: Parents make desperate plea in hunt for killer"

Ive been known to pull the bulb behind a check engine light before....In other news, I was skimming the "Who died today?" thread a few minutes ago. I almost posted in there but the opinions were about as thick as peanut butter, and as we all know, well....something or anotherWhat tickles me is that the public actually thinks that an actors real personality is factually portrayed on screen/television, when in reality the more outgoing a person is on screen, the greater the odds of him/her being introverted in a public setting....Robin Williams is a good example.... the guy goes nuts on stage but its hard to get him to make a sound around just a few people. Letterman will make a complete ass out of himself in front of the camera but gets completely embarrassed if you make a joke at someones expense at a restaurantThe same goes for the "Jackass" bunch. Back several years ago when the kid was into skateboarding, I pulled some strings and put him in touch with that Bam kid. They spoke a few times over the phone and I hauled him all the way down to Houston to meet the guy and get a few lessons at a skate park he appeared at. Long story short, he sat down with us afterward and acted like a normal guy. He was actually quite impressive the way he explained how he planned to advance his career and the steps it would take to get there...Later on we met Knoxville at a Motorcross track in Oklahoma. He was there for an MTV shoot involving a world record jump. The guy that owned the track....Dale Shultz for the record...invited me and the kid over to witness the event. Same thing....he was a complete professional and spent hours and hours going over the sequences with stuntmen before signing off on the stunt. We spent two days there eating dust to watch a ten minute "live" stunt. Got so bored that after a dozen or so beers I climbed on a bulldozer and helped angle the rampsI dont remember what the program was called....it aired a few months later...but those with google expertise can probably find it somewhere. I had about eight seconds of air time on itTo say that those guys are numbskulls/idiots/fools/etc/etc is idiotic. They staggered onto an undiscovered routine that made them millions....The kid that died in the wreck more than likely would have anyway, irregardless of what his reputation wasWith that laundry aired, Ill retire to the house for the evening....And rememberDONT DRINK AND DRIVE!

No doubt a lot of it is a 'routine', but at their center, a lot of them are bona-fide wild men, adrenaline junkies, not constrained my much. You know exactly what kind of person I'm talking about. Guys like that have a seriously diminished life expectancy and when one of them gets drunk and vaporizes a Porche, you can't really say it comes as any surprise. Are they 'idiots'? No, it's more like they're guys who lived by their own rules. Personally speaking, I respect guys like that, even if I hope none of them buy a home near mine. The last "died too young" funeral I went to (a while back) was of a friend that was killed in a watercraft accident. He was ramping a rented Jet Ski off 6' groundswells, hit one at an odd angle, threw him off midair and the jetski landed on top of his head, breaking his neck. All accounts of the witnesses on the shore were pretty unreal, as far as the show he was putting on.... A crowd had gathered to watch him, but it was his first time ever using a Jet Ski. He was just totally, totally nuts like that. This is the same guy who took me out on the Borman Expressway at 2:00 AM in a Mitsubishi 3000gt, got it up to 130 or so then locked up the brakes and spun it out, just as a 'gag'. Some people are just wired like that. They live hard, die young and usually, leave a charred corpse.

Dear lord, Tony just asked me what my clothes size is because he is going to a major high street today and might want to pick up a birthday gift for me. I checked and he does NOT mean lingerie... I think he might buy me, like, a t-shirt or something.... yikes. I sent him a copy of my wishlist but I think he didn't want to get me any of it, so instead he's going to get me something I don't want. I am NOT the person who can act like they like a gift if they don't. If he gives me something and I'm not impressed, it will be obvious from the look on my face. What do you guys think is like, an appropriate gift at this stage of a relationship? We've been dating just over 5 months now.
