and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

Now I'm depressed.
You said in the football betting thread that you figured out what the "************" client of yourbuddy was doing. Did you ever tell us?Edit: One day I'm going to figure out how to get around the filter. Then the challenge will be caring enough to use it.

Jubi highly recommended it, but I didn't think it was that good.
Ha.I did take Despicable Me to see Nick (sigh. I guess I should fix that.)I did take Nick to see Despicable Me yesterday. That was a lot of fun.Gru: [reading book] "Three little kittens love to play. They had fun in the sun all day. Then their mother came out and said, 'Time for kittens to go to bed'."[looks up]Gru: Wow, this is garbage. You actually like this?

Yeah, I confirmed it this weekend with Big. Last year, I gave Big a handful of different pricing schemes. Basically, I had him divy his clients up into a few basic groups, a kind of player profiling, if you will. Different clients get different lines, based on their profiles. The Kid, given his unpredictable selection of sides, was in the Game Theoretically Unbeatable Lines group. "Take the Pinnacle line, add 6 cents to the price, and go." In theory, only a legitimate sharp would be able to beat the lines Big was dealing to his unexploitable clients. The Pinny prices are almost always perfectly efficient, even at -104/-104, so at -110/-110 the margins are simply too big for anyone without a pretty big edge to beat.Big, all things being equal, is kind of lazy. He likes to delegate. He has asked me to run his operation a few times, mostly because he doesn't want to handle the day-to-day stuff himself. That's why he liked the framework I designed for him: a few simple cues and he could give each player the most profitable lines. (His margins pre Wang were somewhere around $.04 per dollar wagered. After we rapped and tweaked his system, even with the Kid killing him, he's at 6%, give or take.) But Big took over the Kid's action personally. Which means Big was getting his lines from his runner. Which means he had a lag. The runner almost certainly wasn't operating totally efficiently to begin with, and when there's an even bigger delay, well...Big's lines were stale. The Kid was probably a guy like me, and if I were playing with a local, I would check the Pinny price and bang Big's lines whenever they were far enough off-market to warrant a play. Most of the Kid's bigger plays were earlier in the week, when Big's runner was quoting prices that were going to move enough to make them really stale, really quickly. This week, I handled the Kid's action personally. Whenever he called, I quoted him prices DIRECTLY from the market, and if I wasn't available, I had one of Big's runners call him from in front of a computer. Twice he tried to call back an hour after I quoted him a price to make a play. Both times it was on a line that had moved significantly. We quoted him a new price and he passed. The impressive thing was how quickly the kid was moving. Until tonight, Big wasn't totally convinced I was right, so earlier this afternoon I quoted the Kid "Patriots-1.5 -115 Dolphins+1.5 EVEN," (Big offers 15-cent splits to good clients for high profile games, an idea he implemented last year when I suggested it would allow him to keep some of his bigger clients who can play online, but not at the really competitive offshores) which was waaaay off the Pinny market. He hit the Dolphins+1.5 for the max. It was his only play of the week. We got lucky and won, but that's beside the point. He probably won't play with Big anymore, so Big's new concern is keeping the kid happy so his retard whale friends don't stop giving money away. Big, being smart but generally lazy, asked me if I wanted to handle the situation, and he offered me a partnership on whatever I can come up with. I'm still mulling it over, but I have two ideas:1) Give the Kid backing to pick off other locals, and set him up with a few runners who can help. 2) Set the Kid up to take his own action. The Kid runs an operation, Big backs it, and we all profit. Regardless, Big is grateful, and Bub remains free to operate his smalltime* shop. Bub also gets: all the lapdances he ever wants. Forever.*- I really am smalltime compared to most outs, but even guys like me have pretty big sweats, now and then. My current max for new clients is 500. I have a client who has been with me for 3 Saturdays and 4 Sundays. He's my best client by far. What would you guess he has wagered so far?

I could/would never do what you're doing but it's facinating. Is your max per game? If so I would say $7,500

I too am facinated. How much do you need to keep liquid in order to be covered? I know you keep solid books, what is your average revenue per $ wagered?

Is "Kid" considered proper?
Sorry, I wasn't talking about your kid.

So far this year, my NFL/NCAAF combined margins are 7.15%. I'm running above expectation, but probably not more than .5% or so.

Why do people use locals? Is it to try to take advantage of bad lines? Why would someone bet with you instead of just going online?
My assumptions:A) unaware that it's possibleB) computer illiterateC) very difficult to get decent amounts of money on/offline nowadaysD) convenience?E) less "illegal"/harder to get caught?

Nice. So is it officially yours or are you just letting it hang out sometimes?
Got caught up in a tree over the weekend and a tenant got him down. Her cats aren't big fans so I told her to keep it a couple more days and then I will have the office set up for him while I decide what to do. 3 options right now.1. Have an office kitty. Be nice to have him hanging around with me at work and then the woman I work with would care for him after I leave.2. Take him home (after a vet checks him out obv no matter which option I go with) and see if we can't get my cat to warm up to him. I guess he is really playful with the tenants cats so he won't be an issue, but Cordy might be.3. If all else fails, give him to my in-laws who want a cat but can't seem to take the plunge and what better way than to just give them a cat.

The biggest reason? If you play online or with a casino, you have to pay for everything up front. My clients don't have to keep a positive balance, which allows them to keep significantly more money freed up as opposed to hanging out at Bodog or The Greek.

A) Yes. Many of my players would have no idea how to go about getting posted up online.B) Older players, sure.C) Also yes.D) Playing with a local has to be waaaaay less convenient, excepting the points I've already made.E) No. Answer: More than 105,000. Yeah...
