My wife and I and our best couple friends are splitting a one bedroom apartment at the Canyon Ranch Spa in Miami Beach for August and September (we got a sick deal; $2000/month total). Free access to the spa, beach area, health club, etc.Anyone who has been to the one at the Venetian can attest to how sick it is.

Sounds pretty sick.I kind of don't understand though. You already live in Miami and I'm assuming can go to a lot of beaches and belong to a health club. You're paying $1k/mo for access to a spa where you probably have to pay for most of the services (-$300)? What am I missing?

Well, we get regular spa access for free (and the free parts of the spa are still amazing). We get a private beach away from the riff-raff. We get kind of a vacation home type feel. And we are going to hook our parents up for a couple weekends as a thank you for being good parents. We will probably throw a couple parties there. It's just a silly thing we are doing because we got hooked up with a deal. You really have to experience the regular free part of the spa to understand. It's incredible. Just going to be nice to go there a couple days a week and relax. Plus, I get 4 free hour massages basically. That's a big deal when your back sucks as much as mine.I should also mention that we are only paying 600 of the 2000 bucks per month. The other couple was really pushing the idea and wanted us involved.....(and they will get to use it more of course).<---------------------good at the negotiations.It does not make total sense.....just a splurge thing.
