Tactical Bear 3
up in seven hours. flight leaves at 11 a.m.Beans: Any words of advice?Wangie: Any value out there in NFL futures?ByeI dunno. My random ideas:- OVER Lions total wins. (They were so bad last year, that there has to be value in the over.)- UNDER (any team that was awesome last year) total wins. To win the NFC (In descending order of preference)- Tampa Bay Fucks @ 40-1- Green Bay FudgePackers @ 10-1- Carolina PussyCats @ 10-1- Seattle Shithawks @ 18-1To win the AFC (In descending order of preference)- Dolphins @ 25-1- Jaguars @ 20-1- Bungles @ 40-1I could see a play on any of these squads to win the division, too. Too bad the Vikings are sucking FuckFace Favre's dick, or I would have probably made a play on them. I have spent about 20 minutes thinking about the NFL since the Super Bowl -- and that includes the two hours I spent watching the draft -- so don't put too much weight in these. Tactical Bear 3
I've read everybody's replies re: China, and I appreciate the insight. I'll have specific responses later. I've been compiling a review sheet for ungrateful classmates all day (I AM SO BORING), so I'm gonna fire up some porn and try to get some sleep before I get up at 830AM to tutor some motherfuckers.Kisses,Derkel

hank213 1,823
Beans' Guide to VegasI thought about asking for your professional opinion before I went out there in March (especially since you share my distaste for all things Harrahs) but I didn't want you to have to repeat yourself...again. Thus, I have copy the above and saved it to my zip drive where I keep all my important documents (like my resume and CV) which will also be burned to cd upon my next backup.Thank you. Tactical Bear 3
In my Retard University email inbox:Subject: FW: China travel alert - quarantine measures for H1N1University students, faculty and staff are advised that the US Department of State has issued a travel alert concerning quarantine measures that travelers may face when entering China. These measures are in response to the 2009-H1N1 ("swine flu") pandemic and include the risk that travelers may be quarantined for seven days. If you are planning travel to China, please read this alert carefully. Travelers to China are strongly urged to buy HTH Travel Insurance through the University prior to departure and to register travel plans and emergency contact information with the International Travel Oversight Committee (ITOC). Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Chair, International Travel Oversight CommitteeJust... so hilarious.
Tactical Bear 3
Also Hilarious:I just checked the course webpage for Professor Asian's class. He has everybody's grades -- for all assignments, tests, projects, etc., and the cumulative number -- posted by student number. There was an arrow drawn to the column with everybody's Presentation/Project grade -- the one about which I voiced my concerns -- and a little note that said:"A student pointed out an unfairness. Therefore 10 points added to every score." It moved one person from a D+ to a C-, which is probably worth like a grand in tuition costs saved. Further Hilarity:I wasn't keeping up with my grade, so I've never really looked at this page. It turns out I could have skipped the final -- or, now that I think about it, the project I bitched about -- and still received an A. I spent like 60+ hours on that project (probably close to 100), and when I think about how I could've used that time instead, I barely even feel bad. What's happened to me? Sal Paradise 57
Artists like to win awards. They can't win awards if you don't by albums.personally I like to listen to music that's made by people who like to make music.I've done some thinking about your opportunity. Not a ton, but some.I really can't believe people are addressing his question seriously.oh my gaw. its been so long.hey how's it going. oh, you don't know who I am. well, you do, but you don't. I'm retarded.Looks like it was a fun timethought those little bastards would never go to sleep. thank you Early Times!
DrawingDeadInDM 0
oh so speedz mentioned this but erik's assertion that we are all mildly uncomfortable with the army people is pretty inaccurate. I like reading stuff from Nikki and Renae and Jeff and Voldy and I forget the others. basically anyone but Erik.I forgive you.
DrawingDeadInDM 0
agreed with not feeling uncomfortable with Nikki and crew posting. Ren is/was a sickie as well.I mean.. I thought it was pretty clear that my entire post was tongue-in-cheek.. apparently, I'm just that awful. Sorry, folks. I'll stick to septic tanks.
strategy's_touch 0
I forgive you.much appreciatedthere is really no excuse for an industry, whose sole purpose in life is distribution, to be more inconvenient than the free (illegal) alternatives. the RIAA has no one to blame but itself. I really can't think of an artist who supports their methods... I think even metallica has finally admitted that it was retarded to lash out at fans. If music were cheaper and easier to obtain legally in the formats I like, I'd buy it.
dms26 3
I also concur that it's nice to have Nikki, Renae, Jeff, Voldy et al in this thread. I would have said Dustin too but he never posts in here anymore.I still lurk when I can. I miss the Beans cartoons. It's hard to keep up with two huge threads.
mk 11
Needless to say after this I never downloaded another song again, and probably have an irrational fear of the internet police coming to arrest me if I did. AND THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T STEAL MUSIC OVER THE INTERNETSpersonally I like to listen to music that's made by people who like to make music.yes, ren, that comment was awful, sorry. any "artist" who makes music to win awards does not deserve a penny of our money. they deserve to be raped by cossacks. Especially when I can go to Fye and get the same CD for $18.99.
