He seems like a nice Kid ( I only say kid because he looks and acts like one even though he is in his mid 20's)he's more very annoying. I can easily avoid the threads he starts, but it's really annoying when he drops in on random threads making posts that have nothing to do with the threads and is just utter nonsense. Theraflu 1,035 Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Just returned from my Lux trip to the cinema to see There Will Be Blood.-Good parking right off the main exit; two guys waiting to escort us in even though we were a half hour early and the "first ones to arrive,"-Buy tickets/get $5 vouchers, get personally escorted down ONE escalator to the theatre.-Didn't get ID'd at all, which is kind of rare in MA. Sat in upper deck above the usual theatre, front row. Pretty good view, probably in the 80-85% perfection range for cinema going. -Waitress arrives a couple minutes after I press "service" button for the second time. Order a Sam Adams Winter and a Bud; arrive about 6 minutes later.-Movie starts, we order the Red Hook ESB battered shrimp, and some popcorn. Popcorn comes in 5 minutes, shrimp after 10. Shrimp and sauce were probably the best fried shrimp I've had. -The movie: Absolutely amazing. For Wang/Shake, the soundtrack is done by Jonny Greenwood, and it is phenomenal. Usually I like a soundtrack that blends in and I don't notice that much, but this stuck out and was just perfect for almost every scene. I cannot say enough about how well the music added to each scene.It's a long movie, with a couple long parts, but there are a number of chilling scenes that are 100% encapsulating. I'd say hoping for 1-2 of these type of scenes is asking for a lot, and there about 5 in the movie. Just tremendous acting along with a brilliant script. There are a couple loose ends that aren't 100% tied up at the end, but all it does is make me want to see the movie again. The Lux experience is probably worth it. Beers are $4 for a bottle, but cocktails at $9 (I don't know how much booze they put in the martini's) might seem too high. The appetizers are relatively reasonably priced, and it's nice to drink a beer and eat some food while watching an awesome movie.Definitely see this film if you like "good" movies or amazing acting. I think they have like a $500 limit on chips per day, which means the dudes playing 15/30 have to wait a few days for a single buyin. I have only been to harrahs and ameristar since they are apparently the only two with poker. I saw that they sell em in 12 packs tonight. At least, I think it was a 12 pack... it could have been a double-decker 24 pack. Either way, that's cool and unexpected. I'm definitely going to introduce them into my regular rotation. Can I get an update at all or is that too much to ask?I'll start with a few updates (I need to go to bed soon), and hopefully everyone will chime in.-I broke up with my girlfriend and am now back in school. This is of note because I now have funny stories to tell once in a while...including one from this weekend that I'll write up tomorrow. It involves going to an awful dance club in Boston (Tequila Rain) that I'd usually never be caught dead in, and dancing for about two hours while approximately 87% erect. Ok, I guess that's most of the story, so I suppose I don't need to write it up anymore.-Turd and Timdog both left...Tim becuase of his girlfriend and Caleb possibly for the same reason.-Ron ran out of material, so he doesn't post much anymore.-Someone's wife is having a kid soon...I forget who.
