and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

I could drive...and probably would want to, except if we'll be drinking (heavily) I should probably take the train. Unless of course there's room in your bed for me.I kid...I'm not at all gay in real life.Or am I?No.(yes)
I have plenty of room on my bed, I mean in my moms house, no my bed, crap, I'm gonna slink away now

Hmm. Are these things really a good way to make money (re: better than cash games)?
I dunno. For me, it's much less stressful. I can't second-guess myself in a tournament like I do from time to time in cash gimes. My return on investment in the 180s is about 100%, meaning I can probably do better than $30/hr if I'm continually playing them for a few hours a day.It takes about $1k to play the 180s and there's not much risk of ruin there. Compare that to the $30/hr winrate you're hoping for with two tables of 5/10, the extra $2k in bankroll, and the added stress. It's an easy decision for me.

what if I throw $44 online, you think that might work? I mean, I'll really pay attention and try.I'll even print out the therinn/bizzle plan and stick to it. It'll work then right?

Train? To Gary? I might be up for it.Hmm. Are these things really a good way to make money (re: better than cash games)?
Yeah, thinking about taking the train, will depend on whether a friend wants to have dinner tomorrow night or not.As for the 180s, I had an ROI that hovered around the 100% mark for a long time. I had a downwing and then started playing on party for a change of pace. Since coming back from my brief love affair with party poker, the games have been extremely juicy and I'm around 160%.I'm not really a cash game expert, but I feel like a lot of the cash game players are much better than the tourney players, compared across the stakes you would need to play to make the same sort of money. I just know that my advantage is bigger in tournaments than cash games, and these 180s have proven to be quite reliable.

Me. You're forgetting me. No, I don't live in Chicago, but whats a 13 hour drive when you get to play low stakes poker with a bunch of dudes you talk to on the internet?Anywhooo, I just bought some Sam Adams Octoberfest. Lookin forward to that. And what Ron said up there that GoBears posted, so true, so true.

The 180s are such a cash cow it's ridiculous. I've only cashed once, but I've put myself in so many +EV positions that I know that I'll do well in them.

there's no great close train to trumps or resorts in indiana - you really need a carthere is a bus to resorts
What about taking the South Shore train to the East Chicago stop? Shouldn't be a long taxi ride to resorts from there.I also just committed a complete newbie mistake in a 180. I'm a moron.

wow, i must've missed that strat guide from Mr Mexico the first time around. Really not much to argue with there, especially considering that the uglier girls generally have decent personalities too.I might just have to throw it in a couple ugpigs in the next few weeks, though it's a bit tough in my current living situation.Actually, in the spirit of Mexy, I went to a class tonight, and completely ignored the good-looking blond girl sitting on my left, and chatted up the marginally-attractive brunette instead. She told me of a party on saturday, which of course involved me getting her phone number as well. She's definitely the type of girl that I probably should toss it in, and while i'm not really that interested in doing so, i'll probably regret it if i don't.also, i know from experience that she keeps her mouth shut if a guy does something horribly awkward/embarassing sexually, so that's a relief. How the **** do my posts always get so long?Oh, and 180s are a decent money-making strat, but tourneys really are for suckers. If you can beat the 180s, you can make more in cash games.

I agree, but tournaments are good if you don't have a roll.BTW, do us all a favor and throw it in the girl Saturday.

true, but with rakeback and/or bonus, you'll have the roll in a week or two of cash games. meh, unless you're playing as a source of income, maximizing your income/hour should not be your main concern.are you kidding? a favour? can you imagine how f'ing annoying i'll be when i finally get some, and then want more? and if i start having girlfriend issues? i'll be asking tons of annoying rhetorical questions?that would be annoying.

Eh, after your first time, you'll probably be thinking about it less than you are now.
