Hobbes 1
Yes, he looks like baxter. no hasmark for youI have a Canon ZR80 camcorder. I just looked it up and saw this note on the technical details: MiniDV camcorder takes stunning video and connects effortlessly to your computer, TV, or VCR I could probably figure this out fairly easily by reading the manual. I generally disagree with this word when used in advertising as I've had to teach my dad how to use and re-use... and then fix... a lot of "effortless" things. I'm instantly convinced that you still need to use special software to get the videos off. I might have the extact same camcorder now that I think about it.

I realize it's a sport, but I'd like to move that posts discussing soccer must also have a SFW picture of a hot soccer fan in them. All in favor?
Hobbes 1
Last time I flew commercial I spent the entire flight on the toilet...Just after take-off, I went to the lav with a SkyMall magazine. As I was leaving the can, we hit some turbulance and the pilot told everyone to return to their seats....My legs were numb for a weekHave a good tripHaha, this isn't why I was posting just now. I guess I was thinking about quoting this, but never got around to it. Beans is good looking.Anyway, what do you guys think about the WSOP TV schedule?http://www.pokernews.com/news/2006/6/espn-...ised-events.htmWith so many hold 'em events, why are they choosing now which ones to air? Why not wait to see which events have the most entertaining/biggest names final tables? And why the Main Event first?

Bizzle 0
Dammit, US down 1-0 now after just a stupid play by Reyna. But on the plus side, Italy is up 1-0.
zimmer4141 0
But on the plus side, Italy is up 1-0.Which means nothing now because the US needs to score 2 goals, which is how many shots on goal they have in the entire World Cup.
RhinestoneCowboy 2
Good to hear that Italy is up, but I see it as nearly impossible for the US to score 2 goals in one world cup match.. unless of course they can get some more own goals.
Timdog1010 0
And why the Main Event first?Well, I don't think this is terrible. Is there a 6 month lag between the play of the Super Bowl and the tv broadcast?Or the World Series, etc., etc.?I kinda like the idea of not having to wait until November to see the MAin Event on tv... Poker has a built in audience that will watch almost anything poker related, and these broadcasts are so cheap to produce that they're sitting on a goldmine.

Why not wait to see which events have the most entertaining/biggest names final tables? And why the Main Event first?Let's see, in order. It costs a lot for them to televise an event in production costs. The cost-benefit analysis of waiting to see who makes each final table isn't profitable for them, because essentially they would be in a position where they would have to televise every single event. I have no clue why the main event first.

I'm just curious as to why they switched it around. Are they trying to gain more viewers for the lesser events by sucking them in with the big one? Also, one of the most entertaining broadcasts I've seen was when they aired the Razz final table a couple years ago.

They are only showing final tables anyway; can't a producer make a decision around final table bubble time as to which event moves to a TV ready table? Maybe they don't get the most entertaining table, but at least they can get some well-known players. I clearly know nothing about television broadcasting.
Randy Reed 0
Yeah, half the fun was trying to imitate Spade and his mannerisms. The first time you were at my table I was just like "who the hell is that" but we talked about it later and I got to kid around with you without you knowing who it was talking to you. There were a few times when you showed up and I got to say "yay, my chips are here!"Yeah, good times. It is funny playing the Neg Opens now. I love the banter that goes on, last night was good because I had a couple beers. Classic line last night was from Bob (FCP-INFO) when he said, "Well, I'll bet that I'm the only one here who's talked to Randy on the phone while he's drunk at 10 o'clock at night"Which was true.:looking for dog pics:

Just bounced a little higher than he expected, but he missed it by a loooong way.

People like us will watch even if it gets moved to OLN.I've sure they have reason to believe that this will bring in more casual fans. And you're probably right about using the Main Event to spark interest in the lesser events...
