I Called In Sick Today

How'd you do overall, did you play PLO? I cooked some steaks and watched PROJECT Hail Mary yesterday, I enjoyed this movie way more than I thought I would, great movie. I should've seen this in a theater or imax.

didnt play PLO, only the cadillac of poker my friend. we were up $660 on Friday and $1,940 last night. i just made the nuts a bunch and every time i bet they called. this guy called a river bet of $300 with bottom pair when i had the nuts, it was a wild night. but most of these guys when they see me bet big they think i'm bluffing, which makes no sense because the times i have bluffed lately they got through and i didnt show. these guys last night saw me table the goods every hand and they kept calling. if only it could be like that every weekend. 

i certainly would overbet bluff a pot in the right spot against certain players but none of these guys are those players and i have no balance at all, if im betting big in 1/3 i have it, no question. but people can't fold. 

in one of the hands there was a button straddle, and i'm in the small blind. and my general strategy is to limp every hand i would play and limp-reraise any big pair from the small blind when the button straddles. i thought to myself before the hand if i get the rockets the limp re-raise will work and i did get the rockets.  one guy made it 20, two callers and i make it 90. one guy calls. Q 5 2 flop, i bet 150 and he calls. blank turn and i put him for 250 or so and he calls with KQ.  

easy as that.

They were thinking you couldn't keep having the goods and you did, that's a nice haul. Are you watching the World Cup at all? I'm guessing no, I haven't, might try and watch some tonight.

havent been watching the cup, no. i've reached a point in life where very little interests me, even things i used to enjoy have lost their allure. and soccer was never on the list.

i'll watch a movie probably or just youtube all night while i play chess on my computer. 

i had a mouse trapped in my window well, the little bastard chewed through the screen and was crawling in between the screen and the window.  he met his death bravely though, i'll give him that.

Yeah I didn't watch any of it. Mice are such a pain. I set some battery powered electric traps in my garage, and they work great, the only issue is uh emptying them when they work. Do you play chess alot? That's one thing I've wanted to get into but never have.

i play most nights on my computer, just messing around. i do a lot of the puzzles too, do those every day. i dont have a good enough memory to really be good but i do enjoy it.

I’ve started watching storm chasers on YouTube, they drive around and film severe weather. They’re mostly con men and grifters but it’s sort of entertaining, McGee would like it.

i still need to watch the new twisters movie with glen powell. i started it but turned it off for some reason. i think it might be becuase i like the idea of glen powell more than i like his acting. i couldnt finish the movie where he plays a hitman. way too romantic comedy and not enough bad ass action. he needs to take a role where he pretends to be tom cruise and not ryan reynolds.

absolutely curb stomped at work today. as the pile grew and grew i contemplated just walking away. straight to key west, maybe even down to havana and just live off the grid. if my parents were both gone already i'd do sometihng like that for sure, though it would be to vegas to just do nothing until i die.

Twisters was decent, obv I enjoyed the original better. It sounds like this pay raise was not a good idea for us, can you go back to your old position? I'm guessing no and it'll make you look bad to management. I'd go for Key West before Havana imo.

i can't go back yet, have to stay at least a year under company rules. its really not that bad, i just enjoy complaining. this stuff is really easy for me, i just RIGHTFULLY feel that i should be living the ultra rich lifestyle of a man of cape cod, or miami beach. and while i relax and have sex with WOMEN my money is working for me, compounding and compounding until i can buy my way out of anything. 

im over half way done with yesterdays pile, just have to type out instructions to the grunts and move on to the next thing.

A year isn't terrible I suppose, at least you have an out eventually if you end up wanting it. I took last week of from my bjj class and boy was that a mistake, feeling pretty lazy and I don't want to go back this week, but I will.

I think I'm improving yes. It takes years to get really good, but I would be confident in a conflict with a normie. What are you up to this weekend, gonna beat up on the poors at the casino? Not much here, will probably just stream a new movie or something.

im sure you would choke me out in a matter of seconds. i'm incredibly weak and out of shape. 

i went to the casino last night and won 325. 1/3 poker is alive and better than ever if you can just wait for the nuts. probably go back tonight and keep grinding away, though im not really sure what im grinding towards. 

air force one is streaming on prime and i watched it the other night. just a classic 90s action movie with Harry Ford. they gotta get back to making simple movies like this. you have the good guys, you have the bad guys and you have them all on a plane. what can be better.

Air Force One is a good one, I love watching a random classic 80s/90s action movie that I haven't seen in awhile, they don't make em like they used to. We gotta get you to be a regular at the casino, you're cleaning up pretty good.

sadly with movies we can never go back to when everyone making them wasn't so self aware on how everything would be perceived and everything that came before it. they were just making kick ass movies they thought people wanted to see.

i have been enjoying going to the casino, though i got my dick snapped off last night. in the space of five hands i had kings twice and both times a hyper agrresive player had aces. i was unable to avoid disaster both times and got punished. but that shit happens, i don't think i did much wrong. perhaps a true professional gets away from both but i am not such a player and never will be.

Damn twice is brutal, and in five hand is even worse. I don't think anyone gets away from it, thems the breaks I guess. I have to stain our deck some time this week, it's going to be in the 90s even on the weekend, not looking forward to that, I'll have to wake up early on Sat or Sun and hit it.

yeah gotta hit that early morning before the sun gets up and going for the day. when i was house shopping i didnt mind not having a deck and it ended up that way. i just have a walk out off the kitchen with a slab and no deck. so i get to skip that maintenance at least.

i had some halo top yesterday, its pretty good. not like real ice cream but still solid. 

im actually watching sam neil in season 1 of the tudors right now. though he is about to get banished for failing to secure the king a divorce. the cardinal overpromised and underdellvered, a mistkae you just cannot make in his position. though the king was pretty unreasonable with the pope about the whole thing if you ask me.
