mrfritz 927
Brutal. Also I didn't know you have a dog, what breed?
SuitedAces21 2,741
she is my mom's dog, and mom is on vacation for 10 days. so i watch the pup while she is gone. she is a mix, some retriever and some pitt. she is feisty and very needy but also very loving. there are a lot of bunny rabbits in my neghborhood so every night we go for a long walk after dark and she hunts them best she can while on the leash. mrfritz 927
It's been years since I've had a dog, I kinda miss it and also kinda don't. What a grind this week has felt like, work and then bjj class, looking forward to the week being done.
SuitedAces21 2,741
i love this damn dog but i gotta tell you when she wakes me up at 6 am to go outside i'm not happy about it. she also just pissed on the carpet downstairs right in front of me just now. total domination move. but she's cute and i can't get that mad. i called in sick today myself, sick of work again. i thought when i got this new job it would renew my focus but this 6 week wait before i start has beaten me down. i'm over it all and looking forward to retirement, which is a mere 15 to 20 away. i'm worried about you and this bjj class. i dont want any knee injuries or even worse a neck injury. be careful out there sir. mrfritz 927
Yeah that was one thing I don't miss, early wake ups to go outside. Late nights too, especially in the winter. My instructor is two years older than me and said his knees are pretty much shot. There is definitely an end game to this, so far I am enjoying it. I'd love to retire at 65, I don't know that it happens until 67, but we'll see. Working is such a fckin grind. The libs don't teach you that in college.
SuitedAces21 2,741
if all goes perfect i should be able to retire at 55 after 28 years of working at the Bank. but if not at 55 then no later than 60. i dont plan to live large once i retire, just find a small place out of the way and contemplate the salvation of my soul. just need the market to do in the next 15 years what it did in the last 15 and i'm golden. its a real shame no one told me about the stock market when i was 18. i could retire today if only i'd known it existed. of course the truth is even if my father told me, and perhaps he did and i don't recall, i wouldnt have listened anyways. so much wasted money that could have been compounding. mrfritz 927
I just wanted to get fcked up when I was 18, I hadn't the slightest thought of investing when I was that age. Only our best autists could comprehend the importance of it.
SuitedAces21 2,741
youth truly is wasted on the young. i'm not sure i'm much different now though. i really want to buy this tag heur watch even though i know its a waste of money and it won't make me happy. but its cool and i could die before retirement anyways so why not, i say to myself. hopefully i will resist the urge because it makes even less sense now that i no longer will meet with clients and will just be reviewing docs all day long. but damn if my wrist wouldnt be regal with that bad boy on it while i did so. mrfritz 927
You need to buy this watch and post a picture of it.
SuitedAces21 2,741
this is the one i have my eye on. https://www.tagheuer.com/us/en/timepieces/collections/tag-heuer-formula-1/43-mm-quartz/CAZ101AL.FT8052.html not worth it at all, but i do like it.
mrfritz 927
I feel like you need to own a sailboat (a small one is fine) if you have this watch.
SuitedAces21 2,741
i was thinking a sports car of some kind, probably a vet. i had a mustang for 7 months back in the 2021/2022 winter. the pot holes and snow made it impossible to have that as my only car, so i went back to a 330. and now i have a X3. but i would like to get a nice sports car to speed around in and pretend like i have something going on. mrfritz 927
You and that watch are a match for a Corvette, winter's could be tough on it too though. I'm a pickup truck guy, super comfy ride, will go pretty much anywhere, terrible to park.
SuitedAces21 2,741
i like my X3, it isn't too big but its big enough to get me through the shit out there. i still want to get a mercedes some day, maybe in five years, but BMW has never done me wrong. it truly may be the ultimate driving machine. you drive a ford? my brother had a ranger for a few years. he loved that truck.
mrfritz 927
I have a Ram 1500. My wife doesn't like driving it, but I love it. Gas mileage is terrible, but I don't care. I'm probably a couple years away from getting another truck, I might get a Ford, it'd probably be cheaper to get a Vette.
SuitedAces21 2,741
ram 1500 is a MANS TRUCK. you cant go from that to a corvette. the f 150 raptor is a good looking truck, and if i had unlimited funds i would probably have one just for the fun of it. but im not a truck guy overall. any holiday weekend plans fritzy baby? i gotta do more landscape work myself. not much else. life isnt too exciting these days. mrfritz 927
I'm gonna go for a long bike ride tomorrow, burgers and dogs on the grill for Monday, probably booze it up a bit. Ya go cookout for Memorial Day!
SuitedAces21 2,741
i had a meeting on friday and one of hte people showed up sick. i can feel it coming on now, and i dont like it. the post nasal drip is just the beginning. gonna nyquil up tongiht something fierce. hoepfully you didnt crash your bike today. i do see vidoes from time to time of cyclists getting swiped by a poor driver.
mrfritz 927
There's a couple intersections I have to watch out for but it's pretty rural overall, I probably won't get swiped. I was sick on and off all last winter. I started using a daily nasal saline rinse and no colds or anything this year. Getting sick over the holiday sucks though, whole weekend is fcked.
SuitedAces21 2,741
i've tried the saline nasal spray before but it never really helped me. this thing hasnt progressed any so hopefully it was a false alarm. i have a ton of work to do and need to get some done tomorrow to make sure the rest of the week isnt a hellish nightmare that finds me swinging from a rope come friday. mrfritz 927
I survived the bike ride, no issues. First day back after a holiday sucks bigtime. Looks like The Bride is streaming on HBO I'll try to watch that this week.
Theraflu 1,047
You sure? I kinda liked it, but it's extremely all over the place. Jessie also literally screams, "ME TOO, ME TOO" at one point.
SuitedAces21 2,741
only thing i heard about that movie was that it sucked. i do like christian bale though, so i'll probably watch it a few years from now when i can't find anything else worth putting on.
mrfritz 927
I am very much enjoying Widow's Bay on Apple TV. I guarantee no reading this has watched it.
SuitedAces21 2,741
i've never evn heard of it fritzy baby i'm still powering through BOSCH. I'm on BOSCH LEGACY and while its not the same, its still good. i do hate to see harry bosch lose a step though, but time fvcks us all.
