InternetExplorer 2,609
Nothing yet. We are hanging out over the weekend and we will see.
brvheart 1,757
You guys regularly just don't hang out, talk, or see each other for 4 days?
Napa Lite 3,279
I don’t want to sound insensitive because I hope it works out for the best for my braj Strat, whatever that outcome that is, but, man, this whole situation is entertaining for me.
InternetExplorer 2,609
You guys regularly just don't hang out, talk, or see each other for 4 days? We go to lunch during the week and typically just hang out one night on the weekends. She doesn’t want to do anything after work, and I don’t want to go over to her place because I don’t like her roommates boyfriend and the dog and am allergic to cats. It’s not much of a relationship. InternetExplorer 2,609
And yet, ending it will still feel shitty and make you sad for a bit. It has not been a good few days. We have been doing this for a little over three years.
Theraflu 1,035
That is a substantial amount of time. On the plus side, you do have large stores of great bourbon.
Napa Lite 3,279
We’ll be right here for you, buddy. Well, the proverbial we, anyways. I’m heading to Arizona for a Westworld-esque bachelor party, tomorrow. Going to a dude ranch to ride horses and on Saturday we’re doing a cattle drive. A regular Bro-Back Mountain Bachelor Party.
brvheart 1,757
I've completely changed my opinion of frats due to how much social interactions it has brought you. I'm going to push all of my introverted kids to join frats or sororities now, even though I basically hate everything about them. Without your frat, there is no way you go to so many weddings. Napa Lite 3,279
Joining a frat turned out to be a great decision for me. Yeah, there was some stupid bullshit to deal with while in college, (meetings and such). But to my understanding a lot of that has been done away with because almost everything is considered hazing now. And you can be as or not involved as you want. It was also more economical than living on campus and comparable to off-campus. Not to say it’s a guaranteed way to make friends as 80% of the people in the house if I could not care less if I ever see again and about 10% I hope to never see again, but almost 100% i wouldn’t have had as much fun socially during and after college as I have. But to give myself some credit, I’ve been invited to almost every wedding and a good amount of bachelor parties to guys that were in my class or older and even a few younger and that is far from the norm. So, I must be doing something right.

Essay21 2,387
Did we profit from our booze sales? I would think so, but I don’t know the market.
Theraflu 1,035
Yes, it seems likely that Strat sold for less than he paid. If you factor in bottles he gave as gifts, maybe its close to even? Had a bottle of the Bulleit 10 year. Pretty good stuff, but not really in the $45 tier.
InternetExplorer 2,609
I gave away a ton of it. Stopped caring about P&L as much. I was money ahead on most of it.

brvheart 1,757
I think I buy about one pair of shoes a year.
BigDMcGee 3,355
I buy new running shoes twice a year, and I add a new pair of boots or shoes a year. I don't wear athletic shoes I don't work out in, because they wear out too quickly. I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes now, I'm leaning toward these which are on sale from AE right now
brvheart 1,757
I like the brown ones better, but that's a nice shoe.

Essay21 2,387
Only cave men own one pair of shoes. Nothing wrong with looking fresh, my ninjas.
CobaltBlue 662
I own more than one pair. I wear my sandals (Chacos) like 90% of the time. My other shoes: white sneakers, brown semi-casual shoes without laces, black dress shoes without laces, brown dress shoes with laces, black dress shoes with laces, wingtips, and some Vibram running shoes. I don't see much point to having shoes beyond those.
