hank213 1,823
So your sister likes to give morning beejays to a husband that doesn't want them?
Quacktastic 106
It's my wife's brother. Oddly enough, I think he may reject BJs from his girlfriend. Thankfully he's not married with a bus load of kids otherwise worlds would be colliding.
Theraflu 1,035
I wish I could make this up. My brother in law just said " I could drink like 6 long islands and not get drunk". For Thera and ocho: Revolution un-sessionable ale. Smooth for 10% abv. Just started getting Revolution distributed out here a few months ago. The Anti-Hero is a nice IPA. Have the EuGene porter in my fridge right now. I'll keep an eye out for the Unsessionable.
InternetExplorer 2,609
if I had money right now, I might seriously consider buying CMG. first time in history that it has had a reasonable P/E.

speedz99 145
Welp - here I am. I'm sure am here! I originally signed in because I'm extremely hungry and need help deciding what to order. But that's ridiculous. I hope all is well with...whatever the hell is going on these days around here. You guys still making jokes and whatnot? Edit: Turned back a page, looks like it's mostly recipe sharing. I'm into it.
David_Sklansky 1,904
Speedz, how do you feel about alpacas a) as a pet in general and b) being kept in a pasture with horses?
speedz99 145
As a pet, as in to be cute and outgoing and cuddly? I don't feel particularly great about that - they can be huge pricks. That said, if raised to be pets from very early on in development they can be relatively friendly on their terms. I've heard that horses aren't big alpaca fans, but can potentially be desensitized to having them around. If you're looking for an animal that's friendly towards humans and a great companion for horses, I'd go with a donkey or mini donkey.

Napa Lite 3,278
What'd you end up ordering?
speedz99 145
Nothing yet. Leaning towards Chinese - sesame chicken and fried pork dumplings. But the winds could shift at any time in the next two hours before an order is placed. What's your dinner plan?
InternetExplorer 2,609
we also talk about art and gifting from time to time the one thing we DO NOT talk about is Star Wars spoilers
speedz99 145
Well of course - I'd assume any spoilers would be grounds for an immediate ban. What kind of gifting are we talking about? The kind like I managed for my fiancé for christmas this year - a miniature version of harry potter trivial pursuit? We're not doing christmas until tomorrow due to the fact that she's been working nights since the 24th. The other presents I ordered haven't arrived yet, plus it was supposed to be an adult sized version of the game, not that it would help much. I'm pretty sure now I need to scramble during lunch tomorrow to go buy her actual presents. Unless you guys think mini hp tp is good enough?
Napa Lite 3,278
I had a jacks pizza that was in the freezer. Not great. I feel like that's not enough of a gift but it sounds thoughtful and usually that counts for more. Plus, you know her better than I. Glad I could help! Edit: I misread it. You should be OK. Unless she's crazy.
Quacktastic 106
Aren't you Jewish?
speedz99 145
I am, but she isn't. We're so progressive! Napa, with all the crazy out there, I'm not sure we can throw a woman in that category for not being satisfied on christmas by a miniature board game. But maybe I've been sucked into the engagement vortex and have lost sight of what's important (my right to be lazy).
hank213 1,823
You're Jewish and didn't have Chinese food on Christmas Day? Non-observant? oh, and "hi speedz"
Napa_Don 688
Yeah, but I'm assuming she's rational enough to realize that shipping delays happen (ignoring you should have been shopping earlier you SELFISH PRICK) and not be *TOO* upset with you. Maybe get her a card.
Napa Lite 3,278
COUNTERPOINT: You should not take advice from me on anything, ever.
Napa Lite 3,278
I got the aforementioned George Foreman grill, super nice wooden cutting board, baking sheet, misc kitchen utensils, kitchen towels, a tape measure, an ISU blanket, some cash, some pliers, a crockpot, and via a white elephant game that just ended with me getting all the gifts: some meat shredder claws, these plates that fit over your bottle of beer, a cookie jar with a random families names on it (removed the names, now a nice dog treat jar IMO), some beer glasses, and a game of risk. speedz99 145
You're Jewish and didn't have Chinese food on Christmas Day? Non-observant? oh, and "hi speedz" Oh hi hank. Instead of chinese I had the traditional garbage plate - bizzle (I think he was the one who knew about it) would have been proud. Yeah, but I'm assuming she's rational enough to realize that shipping delays happen (ignoring you should have been shopping earlier you SELFISH PRICK) and not be *TOO* upset with you. Maybe get her a card. Oh, well yeah. That's definitely true. I did also buy some seeds and a flock of chickens for some poor people in a third world nation in her honor, but that's more of a gift for me. And the poor people. COUNTERPOINT: You should not take advice from me on anything, ever. Fair.
Scroom 436
if I had money right now, I might seriously consider buying CMG. first time in history that it has had a reasonable P/E. I mean, I like them too (as a product) but is their growth sustainable from this point? They're already approaching Applebees-type levels as far as total locations. Once you get all the no-brainer large and midsized markets, the next question is, does every Ottumwa across the entire US sustain one, too? Because for it to even justify 30X'ish, it would need to. Edit: Also, apparently there's been an 'outbreak' which may be spooking people. Shows what I know. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/chipotles-sales-decline-just-beginning-230518459.html
