and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

That church you're by is a major Pentecostal church; The biggest in DSM.

They flop in the aisles and speak in tongues and stuff. Might even handle snakes for all I know.

I would like to go to one of those just for the experience. However, I think if I actually did, well, you remember the scene from Fear and Loathing where they go to see Debbie Reynolds? That is pretty much how I would be escorted from the building.

That looks like Valley of the Moon in Idaho.

Really? Never been there. I had no idea this lava field was here between Bend and Eugene Oregon. It was very cool to see in person.

Re: Oregon Gas pumping. As far as I know, it was an effort to fight unemployment, back when it was a particularly bad issue, and is now kind of entrenched. It wasn't a union issue or anything. New Jersey does it too. I like full service, myself. Pumping your own gas is loser state activity.

Sorry, Craters of the Moon

Very cool. What part of Idaho is that?

I can't fathom waiting at a gas station for someone to pump my gas. I am in a hurry 90% of the time I'm getting gas.

That's my issue with it. There's been a couple of times I've waited quite a while for someone to come over to start the pump then quite a while again to finish up. Id rather do it myself. Except in the winter. It's nice not having to get out of the car if it's pouring rain or snowing.

Oregon has been doing this for 65 years or something so not sure it was started due to unemployment but that's certainly a big reason why they've kept the policy.

I would go out of my way to a full service gas station (and pay a premium) if I knew of such a place in town I hate getting gas so much. I frequently get super close to empty because I like to minimize the stops.

That must be nice. I get gas 2 or 3 times a week depending on where I'm going. This week will be 3.

GPS is great, I don't know how I'd do my job without it, but sometimes in its desire to choose the shortest route it takes me on some crazy drives.

Today it took me through the Dechutes National forest, on a road I couldn't go more than 20 mph on a lot of the time, between Bend and Eugene. I was a little irritated until all of a sudden I came upon this:

Huge lava flows

When I got up the road a bit farther I found this

And took these

It's fucking glorious. You close to $2 yet out there? We've had $1.99's popping up the last few weeks.

Saw 2.29 here in Oregon. Think I paid $2.59 or something close in CA the beginning of the week. CA gas prices are stupid.

Really? You usually do so much better.

All I saw was the pictures and the dad joke and I knew this was JLL.

I saw $2.12 a couple places in Iowa. In Chicago it was still 2.45.

Hey, Strat, my 401k plan is changing some funds you've got me in.

10% - ACRNX > PRDSX

8% - ACINX > VINEX

Should I just let it happen? Do you want to take another look at my funds?

Also, my current election percent summary is crazy different from my portfolio percent summary...should I rebalance? Like a good portion of my 401k is in funds I'm not even contributing to. I thought when you had me change my elections it would take care of all of this. Ugh. Please help. I wore my helmet today.
