Its directly linked to pay scale. SVPs start at the bottom of the third highest pay rung. Pod wouldn't fit in the driveway, so we had to put it across two guest spots. HOA probably won't be happy (especially overnight), but hey, no easy way they can tow it, and we're moving...and it's the only decently feasible option. Had two movers come today at 10am to help load the heavy stuff. They were able to get pretty much all of the big things in about 2 hours. However, we didn't really load any small things along the way, so spent the rest of the afternoon climbing and contorting around furniture in a sweltering metal box in attempt to pack things tightly. We had hoped that we might only need one 16x8x8. The hope was dashed fairly quickly, but we'd fortunately made arrangements for such a contingency. Now we're hoping we can fit everything remaining in the Pod coming tomorrow. Still a bit of work to do either late tonight or tomorrow morning on this current one...it's probably 80% full at the moment...just need to pack the top of side closest to the door. Wife is pretty stressed with the move. Also don't want her to do any of the moving work because of pregnancy, so she's mostly watching the baby. That left my mom, MIL, and SIL to help with the lifting after the movers left. Probably do need more movers tomorrow...though I'm sort of loathe to spend more money on it. I think everything that's left can technically be maneuvered by who we have...it's just the sheer immensity of the task that's daunting. 1 Link to post Share on other sites

To be clear, like Napa said, I only care about title if it's attached to money. Otherwise, I'm indifferent. The wife had to get up at 5 this morning for work and unfortunately I woke up about 5:30 as a result. Already worn out but I need to eat. Trying to rally to head over to a,casino ( I'm in Reno) for food and drinks. Also, maybe I was just younger and didn't know better, maybe Reno took a huge hit during the recession (which I've np been told numerous times) but whatever the cause this is a dirty, nasty town compared to what I remember. To everyone: We should probably have a weekend get together at some point. We have been friends for like 10 years. it's a shame I'm busy that weekend. My friend just became a VP for Wells. Literally no pay raise or any additional benefits. Maybe a little more work/responsibility. I asked what's the point, she said "it sounds cool". I guess. I only care about title in that here pay is related to titles so a bump in title would mean a nice raise. What are we thinking? Well, a big issue is that we have to be out the 25th and then can't move in until the 29th, so this isn't a traditional move. And movers don't really pack for you, so there's that too...because while a great deal is boxed and move ready, there's still some loose stuff that we have to handle. Also, wife has a number of things in the garage (old files/teaching materials) that she has to decide to dump...but I don't know which. Anyway, FIL came over tonight after dinner and helped me for about an hour. I did some pretty funny maneuvers in several spots. A couple of times I was on my back on an upside down table with my legs and arms above me trying to push big couch cushions into place. It was cooler after dark...slightly...just as humid. Pod is now at 98%, so that's some relief. I feel more confident in getting the rest of the stuff in tomorrow. We did actually email some movers about coming tomorrow, but we're not completely sure when the Pod will get here (2:45pm-5:45pm was the window we were given at 5:30pm this evening). It'd probably be another $250 or so if we get them. (We will be getting them to unpack.) Link to post Share on other sites

(Hi, future googling (or equivalent thereof) daughter...assuming a record of this is still around...daddy loves you.) As a result of that, we have to find something in a similar ballpark. For our second, the favorite right now is Madeleine Elizabeth. We also like the names Anastasia, Emelia, and Emmaline. Eva for short (which my family uses some) and we prefer pronouncing it ay'-vuh when shortened, but we've mostly been calling her by the full name. I have a longish name with Marchant (though only two syllables). I'm fine with either pronunciation (American or French). It has been shortened most commonly to March, and I've even been fine with Mar or Chant. Girls can call me Marchy. And yes, she is most well known from Lost. do you call her lily or gwen?
