and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

I'm somewhat willing to bet that the four words 'fetishistically washed gym clothing' have never appeared in that order on the internet before now.

Fernie any good? Never seen them around here.

That Unibroue looks tremendous, and I don't have any idea what style it is.

Stone has a new Red IPA that's really good. Close to Nugget Nectar in quality.

Fernie Brewing Company is the local brewery here - some of their beers are really good, others I don't care for. They have a pretty limited distribution throughout BC, Alberta and into Montana, but they're really picking up steam and can barely keep up pace on their core brands, never mind all the fun limited releases they do. I picked up those bottles last Friday; I know the brewmaster (his sister works for me) and so I got invited to the opening of a cask - one of the guys there mixed a bunch of stuff for a single cask tasting, with coconut, chocolate, and, ummm, other stuff, and then invited friends to come to the brewery and drink it, which was pretty neat.

The Unibroue is a 10% ABV Dark Belgian Ale. I'm looking forward to trying it; I grew up in Chambly where the brewery is located and their Maudite was the first craft beer I ever saw (and tasted) more than 20 years ago, when beer that was twice as strong as a Labatt's and with a swear for a name was something I couldn't pass up. I had the Granville Island Auld Skool scottish ale tonight and it's damn good.

For all you fellow freeloaders that like to watch free tv, I 've been using this site http://thewatchseries.to/ as of late and I think it's pretty good. They have like every show ever and new episodes are up the next day. They just compile the links to various sites. The links I usually go for are from thevideo.me or vidbull. I find they usually have HD and no buffering and minimal ads. Do not go to this site without an adblocker though. I tried that once and it's unusable. I use ghostery and ublock extensions on chrome and have no real issues.

So I was in enjoying the bustling night life of downtown Lincoln tonight, when I discovered that Boys State basketball tournament was going on. Had I known this, I'd have stayed as far away from downtown as possible, because the people from Not Lincoln in this state are hopeless bumpkins who have no ****ing clue how to drive in a city, particularly high school students on their first trip to the big city. Now I know what you are thinking, you from places like Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Cedar Rapids... that Lincoln IS a bumpkin cowtown, and you're not wrong. But the gap between Lincoln and the next biggest town in Nebraska is enormous. Lincoln is the second biggest town in Nebraska, at ~270K people. The third biggest is Grand Island, which Lincoln is more than 5 times larger than.. and towns get exponentially smaller after that. Driving in Lincoln is like driving in the suburb of a real city, with some one way streets down town. But these hicks just don't know how to handle it, so when these people from class c and d schools get to town, it's a ****ing night mare. They don't know how to use turning lanes, or turning arrows, or round abouts or any ****ing thing that doesn't resemble the 3 stoplight, two lane highway town they are from.

So I'm driving south on 16th street, a one way street, between M Street and L Street ( that previous sentence was exclusively for Hank's benefit). The lanes are like this [1 [ 2 [ 3 [4 [5 . I am at a red light in lane two, approaching L street, which is a west bound one way (so the traffic would approach lane 1 first, through 5). A truck coming down L street stops at the intersection to turn north, the wrong way, into lane 1. I start honking my horn, to alert them they are about to go the wrong way. They continue to turn the wrong way and are now north bound.. I lay on my horn again, to warn them they are now going the wrong way and are in grave danger. When the truck pulls beside me this giant meat head leans out the window as far as he could, thrusts a middle finger out at me, and in as hateful of voice as you could imagine screams "**** YOU!!!!!" at me, and continues the wrong way for at least another block.

I can't tell you how puzzling I found that reaction, and how alien it is to how I would have reacted. If I were driving the wrong way down a one way street, I'd be a combination of mortified and terrified, saying " oh shit" and figuring out how I could get off the street as soon as possible, before I kill myself or get picked up by the police. If someone honked at me, I'd feel embarrassed. What I wouldn't feel is defiant rage, when I was 1000% percent in the wrong, and people are only honking at me to save my life. I can't possibly understand why he was angry with me, why he would scream at me and threaten me, it makes no sense at all. I feel like this guy was a whole other species than me, I feel like I'm evaluating the behavior of a badger or something. Anyone who thinks man is a rational animal is a fool.

Downtown Des Moines is like that on a much smaller scale, obv, during our various sports championships. The right lane on 235 will just be a 3 mile long car convoy of people afraid they'll miss their exit thats coming up in 5 miles. If they do manage to not miss their exit, they are incapable of parking their jacked up 4x4 rust buckets within two yellow lines. Not to mention, aside from like 4 streets downtown Des Moines is a series of one ways, so that's another shit show. Brvy forbid they come into a bar I'm at and then bitch about having to pay $3.50 for a beer or even worse $10 for a burger. I choose to just avoid downtown for the month of March.

Urban areas should issue universal licenses, and rural areas should issue county licenses. It's not that they are worse drivers overall, but city conditions are so different than what country people are used to, and their minds just aren't adaptable enough to learn it on the fly. The idea that some bogan can just pull his IROC Z into NYC and drive around on the same streets as artists and intellectuals, and no one has a problem with the danger this creates is startling to me.

i'm disgusted by the stupidity of every day drivers each morning. people riding my ass, throwing their hands up in the air in anger, then speeding around me only to cut me off to squeeze into the two car lengths i keep between me and the car in front of me. and all this so we can come to a standstill at the bridge. literally every day people drive like animals to get one spot ahead and wait. the lack of intelligence is disconcerting, but in everything we see we are confronted by the reality that most people are not smart enough to know what is best for them. my only concern is they don't inconvenience or injure me, otherwise drive like a d bag and kill yourself, i don't give a damn.

I had some dbag on a crotch rocket try to give me the business the other day. Driving down a two lane street in the right lane and I see this guy and his buddy turn into the left lane because I'm an observant driver. Shortly, I'll be needing to turn left and so I check the lane, see they're still way back there and I have plenty of room, so I hit my blinker and start to switch lanes. All of a sudden this guy revs it and comes speeding towards me and, again, because I'm an observant driver, I see this and get back into the right lane so this jerkoff can get his rocks off on a 35 mph speed limit street. Once he gets next to me he just keeps turning his head to look at me like he thought I almost ran into him and so I gave him the bird and mouthed "Fvck off" as I fantasied about quickly switching lanes and taking him out without having to put a scratch on my car.

In any situation where another driver can impede my ability to complete the action, I will no longer alert them to the opportunity. I'll give a courtesy signal if I'm going to be slowing down to turn or something, or if there is a cop around, but drivers have for the most part lost the privilege of knowing when I'm about to change lanes.

I almost always go five over, except when the driver behind me is riding my ass and unable to pass me. unless I'm in a hurry, I will go a little under the speed limit.

there's an awkward intersection on the way to work from my last house, and some idiot once honked at me for allowing someone with the right of way to get through. I went 10 under the rest of the way. I almost never go that far out of my way trying to make someone mad, but I think it was merited.

I call that exact thing " slow rolling" and I do that recreationally, usually when someone else is in the car. It will make them very uncomfortable at first, but then they will start laughing hysterically as the person behind us gets increasingly more mad. The best way to do it is to put on your turning signal, slow way down as if you're going to turn.. and then don't turn, and then do it again at the next street or store entrance.

I was at the casino today and pulling out of a distant parking lot. A guy was turning/pulling in at the same spot, and he was letting me go. The person behind him (that was also turning to park) laid on their horn...I assume they were in a hurry to gamble.

The Isle only has poker, correct? Or do they offer other games?

Maybe you two are just shitty drivers?

I'm not trying to imply that they are, but I think I've been flipped off and/or honked at twice in the last 25 years, and once was a friend of mine that I was swerving at, but he didn't know it was me until he flipped me off.
