and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

Brvheart, I helped out a colleague at another nonprofit yesterday. She's hooking me up with Broad Museum tickets!!

Scram, I bet they'll be VIP passes, meaning I can skip to the front of the line. BAM there's your entitlement.

Does anyone else like magic? No Hank, not tricks. I saw Rob Jabrecky this weekend. He was charming and weird.

Yeah, I got nothing. Just keepin on. Had some Super Bowl beers. Borrowed a friend's deep fryer and made some good chicken nuggets, and then made banana beignets for breakfast on Sunday, the wife's bday. Those were awesome. Took Monday off, had a glorious nap Not doing anything for VDay. It's stupid. While I have the fryer and oil, may make the beignets again, and i'm gonna make some restaurant style chicken wings. Then I'll clean it and give it back. I don't need that thing in my life

BigD is correct. Those David Blaine shows where he would do his thing for some black people, their reactions were the best.

I have a question of utmost importance:

Were all 4 guys in the Prius Superbowl commercial from season 2 of The Wire? I recognized 3 of them, but couldn't place the 4th.

I like watching black people react to magic. It might be my favorite thing to see on the internet.

Do you have a goto favorite? I've watched that for over an hour in a single setting previously.

I loved Treme. I avoided watching it for the longest time, because I didn't think I'd find the subject matter interesting. but then, it popped up on Amazon Prime, and I binge watched it when I was sick last year and I was shocked how much I loved it. I've been on a New Orleans music kick ever since.

Simon's new show, about the 70's and 80's porn industry, might be the greatest thing ever put on TV

Treme was garbage, and ended like the garbage that it was, I'm sorry

This is a wrong opinion. It might not have been for you, and it wasn't for a lot of people, but it is far from garbage.

did you stress the part about the new actors? because if not then you did me a disservice. i'm picturing ryan gosling and michael fassbender as the cops. denzel washington and will smith as the drug dealers.

They should give Gus a spinoff, where he's working for a Granland-type website, and the drama comes from the fact that his bosses discourage him from stopping Klosterman clones from writing 40,000 word pieces comparing sports teams to early-2000's teen dramas. It could climax with a confrontation stemming from the fact that [redacted] sees the Colts as more of a Smallville than a Degrassi TNG.
