and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

That's more than our mortgage, ins, hoa and escrow

We have a single family, three bedrooms a garage and a pool, 3 miles from a downtown type area

Although that's not far, we're 15 years in and a newish refi at a stupid low rate.

how much longer do you think you'll be renting? do you want to jump straight from this place to a nice house?

I guess what sold me on buying was that my timeframe for a 'forever' caliber house is probably at least five years, so I'll likely be at worst break-even.

My guess is I'll be renting for two more years and then I'll either move to a new city and rent for another year while making sure I don't get fired/like it or staying in Des Moines and buying a house. You can get everything I need/want in a house for $180k here.

$650 for a decent location, no w/d, but not downtown

$650 for smaller apartment downtown with no w/d, parking extra

$750 downtown for w/d + parking extra ($100) (if there's even apts available)

I'm assuming another $180 for utilities/internet. Some places cover more than others but I'm over estimating

$100 for parking sounds ridiculous and I would bwith every month I wrote the rent check because of that. 2 bedroom?

Wut? Seriously? Less than $800 ish? Jeezus.

UGH, my hair stylist quit or was fired. Now I have to meet another person.

The struggle is real Napster.

Essay, you better brace for a firestorm from Ocho if he reads your BofA hot take.

Tilty, she got it for $160+ 15 years ago, and we refi'd about 3 or 4 years ago at 2.8 for 20, I think. Maybe 15. I'll have to check actually

Brah, screw KC. Let's both move to MPLS. They got casinos, lean cuisines, and A. Wiggins. We can shred some sick gnar-gnar in the winter. Plus I know people that can plug us into the social pipeline

Damn that's sweet Ron. Never move,

SA, sorry man, but BofA may very well be the worst of the nationwide big banks. I would bury my money in the backyard before I would do business with them again.

My P&I, escrow, and HOA is about $867/mo. Utilities and stuff, I am expecting $150/mo max. Pretty sweet deal compared to the insanity I was seeing for apartment rates. Net of money going to prin and the deduction, it probably works out to total living expenses of $700/mo, for a 2br2ba with a garage and the amenities you get at a nice apartment complex. comparable is at least $1k to rent.

not sure what it works out to if you include closing costs, maintenance, etc. but it's probably close.
