iTommyGavin81 288
Thanks a lot for the info on the documentary. I may have to check it out some day. Impressive callback on the runny semen. I barely remember mentioning that. Gonna hang out with new lady after 4 days of not seeing her. Sex is in the cards. Totally kidding about the documentary. Why the fck would anyone watch that?
Ron_Mexico 4,219
You guys are right, why would anyone care about anything historical, concerning music, movies or geographical. That's my bad. Many apologies
InternetExplorer 2,609
you mentioned the semen in here? news to me had a tele meeting with people at HQ. I said pretty straight up, a trained programmer can very easily do what I did in this situation. my manager stifles a laugh, my VP gives me a sideways glance. haha. not only am I an unofficial business analyst, but now I am ****ing training actual business analysts on how to be business analysts. this is actually a real thing happening to me right now.

Most efficiency experts don't muse on how to make their positions more efficient in front of people poised to effect such changes. Not saying you're wrong, just surprising. Not saying you're wrong, just surprising. they are never going to hire programmers to do what I do. if they do, it'll be in a group that touches high volume stuff at a high level, not highly customized, small vol low level stuff. I was just pissed off at the situation. I am paid $28k you can ****ing figure it out yourself ms. probable 50+. I want my hour back.
InternetExplorer 2,609
and, good god, my VP kept saying, we couldn't wait on you guys to automate this any longer, we had to do this ourselves YOU HAD NO IDEA I HAD DONE THIS UNTIL IT WAS DONE. I WAS NOT ASKED.

InternetExplorer 2,609
the credit-grab, it just makes me want to throw up. yes, this is all happening to my benefit, but only because there's no feasible way to take it away from me without killing the golden goose. my manager was SO good at facilitating everything. she's getting completely disregarded. but I mean, I don't know how to right the situation. I can't even say anything because it will look like she complained to me (she has not, but her frustration is obvious). perhaps I'll pick a snarky IM status message tomorrow. that will show them. InternetExplorer 2,609
no, the raise is up in the air. this is still me being a run of the mill associate I. you know, eliminating full workdays, the usual. I am thinking about just IMing the higher ups I'm familiar with in other groups with the simple question: off the record, time in position, a strict requirement or up to discretion? figure out who gives me the raise based on their answers. I am interviewing YOU. let's get this straight right now. probably wear a tie to work or something, as well.
Tiltinagain 973
That's why I should be #1. I AM this thread now. It's an outrage. It was a good zing by tilt though. Just kind of hilariously off base but definitely funny. Yeah well, that's what made it funny. And, I'm just pulling your string because I'm insanely jealous. Pretty much my dream scenario, short of winning the lottery or something, is for my wife to get a good enough job that I could stay home.

Napa Lite 3,278
I did get an invite to that wedding. And a "plus one". I've literally met this kid only a handful of times. One of them being at our mutual friends wedding where we were both groomsmen. He's in my phone as "mike-Dave's friend". It's end of September. Do I ask bartender chick?
