If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

and after 3 days, he is risen!

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

Good luck at whatever it is you're playing. You're not one of those weirdos that's like a stud or razz specialist, are you?I think speedz prefers stud. Speedz, care to comment? Huh? Do you?
Nah, I only know no limit hold em and pot limit omaha well.Event went pretty well. I raced from 4500 chips up to 26,000 by the dinner break and then went completely card dead. Limped into day 2 in the money with a very short stack (10.4k) and busted with A5 < QQ (ace on the flop, queen on the turn, what a tease).Cool vegas stories: I played a satellite with Earl Barron, former Miami Heat 12th man on my left. It's pretty startling to meet anyone who is 7 feet tall legitimately. Super nice guy, was willing to answer my Heat questions. He said he was the best poker player on the Heat but most guys did not play. He said Pat Riley might be the coolest guy on the planet and that Zo was basically a schizo (nicest guy in the world off the court, total psychopath on the court). I also played for about 15 minutes on day 2 with Hoyt Corkins who was very friendly. Railed the 5k NLHE event for a bit because Chris Ferguson and Hellmuth were at the same table (with tv cameras and what not). Also watched a bunch of Durrr's final table Sunday night which was epic. His cheering section was going ballistic (because if he wins a bracelet he gets like 12 million! in prop bets) while certain pros (Matusow, DN, and some others) were not so quietly rooting against him. However Durrr started heads up with a massive chip deficit and lost fairly quickly.Other than that, I hit the Bellagio buffet (awesome), the noodle bar at the Venetian (awesome) and played poker. Monday, we played from Noon to 1:15am so that was a brutal day. Also, watched Game 3 in the sports book (97% Lakers fans) and won a nice bet on the Lakers to cover the spread.New job starts in five days.

Why are most Jews liberals? This has always confused the hell out of me.
Because they know what it is like to be oppressed?Gold guilt is not a ridiculous answer either. Also, most modern Jews are really progressive socially and some of the conservative hot button issues are a huge turnoff (gay marriage, etc).Plus, 97.3% of Jews like marijuana so the GOP view of drug policy is no good.I think you will see Jews shifting toward the middle of the political road over time. I know many who are wildly disappointed that the US won't step up and tell the world to get the **** off Israel's back about Gaza.

I was going to guess Michael Kucinski.
The Irish name fools em every time.Agree completely about Joe Posnanski (I always read his stuff on cnnsi). And Theraflu is right that the officiating for Game 3 was a nightmare but at least it was called shitty both ways.

I'm sure that intelligence has something to do with it. Also a fear that being conservative (i.e. voting for politicians so they will enact laws to allow rich people to keep more of their money) would furthur the steriotypes. And just generally sympathizing with people perceived to be discriminated against.
Also, most modern Jews are really progressive socially and some of the conservative hot button issues are a huge turnoff (gay marriage, etc).
Jews tend to realize that getting religion mixed up in government can lead to bad things.

Pretty awesome you get the vacation time before the job starts, because then, well, you know, life and well, you'll get old and end up putting lots of commas in sentances.

This is really offensive. It's no Cracked.com list, but still pretty damn offensive. A sample: "Pshh, come on, that’s boring as hell. If I wanted to watch someone do all the same sh-t that I do, but take twice as long doing it, I’d go work at Walmart."http://www.uproxx.com/feature/2010/03/tlcs...turbing-series/

I watched about three minutes of that Toddlers and Tiaras show and was horrified. I'd be ok with it if it was like To Catch a Predator and it was all a ruse to catch horrible parents.

I couldn't tell what he was asking on the last one.
Yeah, the dad couldn't either, but he knew he was supposed to say yes to every question.
"Is your baby fine with lit phosphorous?"
Loves it!

It can NOT help that Obama just announced that he is giving 400,000,000 dollars to the Palestinians.

The Big 12 collapsing is pretty terrible for Iowa State.

No kidding. I've had a sick feeling in my stomach ever since Nebraska announced they are leaving for the Big 10. This sucks. Our only hope is that Culver goes through with his promise of trying to convince the Big 10 to take us in (by telling them it'd be a pretty much guaranteed win every year.) Feel like somebody just kicked my dog for no good reason.

Any yanks in here plan on following the World Cup (soccer)? Looks like it's us against you in group C.
Sorry, but when I hear "Yanks" and "Cup," all I think about are baseball and hockey.

Both should make it through qualifying regardless of the outcome of Friday's match (is it match? game?).Speaking of Cup, I was kept awake by my dogs barking all night due to fireworks being lit in celebration.

Love me some World Cup. Will be getting up early starting tomorrow to watch the games. I have always generally rooted for England and Portugal. But this year I am intrigued by Holland. Plus their jerseys are cool. I root for the US of course but never expect much. Though they had a good run during the Conferderates Cup last summer.
