Medium Pairs From The Blinds

Recommended Posts

At 6 max, how do you play medium pairs from the blinds after there's been a couple of limpers? Do you rasise for value and to take the lead, or check considering the fact that you'll have to play the hand out of position and will often see overcards flop. I tend to just check, is this too passive? Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is BB with 8:club:, 8:diamond:. How you play mid pairs in general relies a lot on the tendencies of your opponents. Against some you'll want to proceed with your pairs in spite of overcards, and against others it's probably best to just go ahead and muck them. It can also depend on board texture, where for example if an obvious draw is present you may be more inclined to show them down since the amount of raising/bluffing hands in your opponents hand range will increase.I check most mid pairs from the blinds, but I'll raise 88+ if it's an unopened pot with less than 3 limpers.

Im raising there too. Quoting SSHE...88 and 99 shine in situations when its 3 handed. Anyway its something like that. We all know SSHE is the bible, so oblige. :club:-edit- Hmm the converter messed up? It says 4 players, but its 3, right? -edit-
