Eric Smith 0
I am a fan of Matt Lessinger's column in Card Player's magazine so i bought his book, The Book of Bluffs. I'm only half way done with it but so far it's pretty sweet. It's wierd because most the stuff it talks about I already knew but never really thought about. "A good bluff should be misleading but not confusing. Confusion leads to curiosity. Curiosity often leads to a call." For some reason those three sentences were worth buying the book. It made things seem so clear. In the past, when I was bluffing (wether I got called or not) I felt that I was "making a play" and wasn't really playing "good poker." After reading some of this book, I feel more comfortable bluffing. I used to always tell myself before sitting down "don't donk off all your chips with queen high" but now that thought really never crosses my mind. I still have to finish the book... I was wondering what you guys thought of it.
Suited_Up 2
It's the book i'm reading right now actually. It's a fairly good book so far, but you really need a good grasp of the game not to screw yourself up with this book. He emphasizes bluffing so much that a lot of lesser players will go out there and start trying these all the time and blow a lot of money.Learn the bluffs, but also learn when you can use them. Read the book carefully.
Randy Reed 0
Yeah I just started it this morning, funny i've been finishing another book first. I got it off stars a month ago and didn't realize it was signed by Matt on the inside till this morning. It does seem like it will be a decent read as well.
ROGUE06 0
It is actually a very good book. One of the only books that emphasis more on tells and when and how to bluff.
ChipLeader7 0
Its funny I happen to catch this post as I just started reading it yesterday. The first few chapters seemed great, straight to the point. Should be a nice easy read.

Phlatline 0
I have read BOB and thought it was a nice easy read. I think most are basic bluffs most of us know, but Matt's insight into the reasoning behind them and when to use and not use was pretty enlightening. A few main points I took away from BOB was that your buff needs to tell a believable story and you must know your opponent well enough to predict his likely reaction. Obviously there is much more but these stand out right now. All in all it was worth $13.95.Phlat________
