But, what if I think that my religious beliefs are apart of me?
Then I hope you're able to realize that my disrespect in your religious views are not a personal attack against you. It does require you to see things from my point of view in that I separate the myth from the reality, but that is your decision to make.

Okay. That's fair enough, I suppose.

I waited what must be two years to finally check out this website. The fact that it was stickied and was acclaimed "Awesome" filled me with such anticipation that I could not bring myself to click it right away. For the past week I have gathered up the strength to observe awesomeness in it's purest form. I bought a toilet to replace my computer chair just in case I defecated myself in excitement. I had two nurses on standby.I wrote a will leaving everything I own to the only two people that matter to me in the world (Haha, enjoy the dog you-know-who), in the event my heart burst. Thanks to a suggestion from a religious friend of mine, I laid rubber down across my living room carpet so that if I began to convulse and writhe along the floor speaking tongues while consumed by the Holy Spirit I wouldn't suffer any life-threatening rug burns.I shunned my friends and family these last few days here, trying to isolate my body and mind in preparation for the experience. Imagine my surprise then, when I click on this link and discover it is not awesome at all.

in the off chance that you'll ever come back into this thread, I'm willing to say what jm won't. I don't respect you or your religious beliefs. Your religion is stupid and anti-logical, and you, you personally, are a an intellectually dishonest sleaze ball who tries conning people into going to your retarded and disingenuously labeled "christian porn" site.I don't think people superstitions need to be respected, I think they should be mocked.

The link is Nooma.com. You can watch the first feature, "Rain" for free. They run about 10 minutes and all of them have a theme. I REALLLY like the Pastor, Pastor Rob. He is young and applies things in a very real and practical way. Also, MTV does the DVD's so it's high quality stuff. Check it out, and let me know what you think. I haven't seen them all, but my favorite that I've seen is called, "Sunday". I haven't seen the newer ones but am really looking forward to it.
Hello DN. I would love just to sit down and talk to you about a variety of issues. However that may never happen. So I have to do this in a very impersonal way, via "forum"I am a Youth Pastor and have been for about 17 years now (recently resigned). This is actually none of my business but it has been heavy on my heart for a while now and I hope not to offend you in anyway. You must remember "man looks on the outward" (1Sam. 16:7) so I don't know your heart. There are two things that I hope you are doing, that I haven't heard or seen you speak about.1. Are you going to church and being taught? (Heb. 10:25)2. Are you paying your tithes? (Mal. 3:8)As a CHRISTian I hate that you got divorced. Because God HATES divorce. (Mal 2:16)I hope I am not over stepping my bounds, I just want to make sure I get to play you in a "big tournament" in heaven someday.KODkidp.s. I'll be in Vegas March 28-April 2maybe we could sit and chat, if you could fit me in your schedule :club:

Your first post in addressed to dn, is what I should say. I Don't give a crap about your post count. If you want my thoughts on this further, I started a new thread called " why I hate preachers" about it. I do have issues, man. But boy so do you. Keep your blessings to yourself.

I'm honored. But I won't be responding to anymore of your post relating to this subject.

I don't blame you for that one. If I was running a hustle, I'd hate it for someone to keep yapping it being a hustle too.

Okay I clicked on the link more out of curiousity than anything else. And it did hit me where I am at the moment so I do think I was led to it. But that said, I am a Christian without a church family at the moment because I haven't found one here in Montana that I feel comfortable attending. I have to say that it's pretty darn personal to be asking someone about his tithes and church attendance. Anyway, as for you atheists, why do you feel the need to strike out at individual believers? I do understand your not being crazy about the organized religion because I've found most of the time it has very little in common with the Christianity of the Bible. And I agree that religion has no place in government except as relates to a person's private faith. But that's just it. You don't have to come here. You don't have to listen. It's entirely your choice although there are some in the Christian community that would differ in wanting to force it on you. Again I understand if this has happened to you and I don't blame you for being hostile if that were the case. On the other hand, I think many of you are so sensitive to anything regarding religion that if even someone brings it up in passing you start foaming at the mouth about it.

We're here because this is the religion forum, not the xian d-bags sharing their daily affirmation forum.

I assume there are other faiths represented here as well. And the atheist faith as well if you really want to look at it that way. After all I'd have to say there are unprovens for your position as well. That's why they call them theories.

They have tax exempt....yea, nevermind
Specious.Fallacy.Specious fallacy.Missing the point. Red herring. Equivocation.Stop.Give this point up.It is untenable. Some atheists organizations receiving tax exempt status does not a faith nor a religion make.It is a terrible argument.Embarrassing almost.Cease.I like balloons though.

Kind of like the theory of gravity. Man I wish somebody could prove that one true.

presumably because DN never looks here anymore
To show you how much of a shit he doesn't give about this thread or forum, his ex-mother in law is the alleged moderator of the religionfourm.
