lucabrazzi187 0
Hey what's up. I'm a newcomer to online poker and cannot seem to succeed. I have been a winning live player in NL and PL hold'em cash games and small buy-in tournaments over the past 3-4 years. Switching to the online format, I was successful at first playing low limit cash games, but then saw my BB/100 fall to -1.77. At 8,000 hands of full ring games, my VP$P is 21.67, PFR is 11.82, WTSD is 30.75, W$SD is 48.23. and my Total Aggression factor (post flop) is 2.82. I'm trying to play a TAG - type style, and am rather well-versed in general and hold'em specific poker theory (at least I thought I was.) I've read just about every 2+2 book and studied other writer's works. Currently re-studying SSHE.Considering I don't know anyone who is a successful online player (at least at LHE cash games), I figured posting here may be helpful (and most other poker forums everyone is an arrogant snobby prick).Wondering if any of these numbers seemed askew given the style I've described, or if others have found the transition from big bet live to limit online to be difficult. I know a lot of you started playing online limit, so my question may be irrelevant, but any suggestions would be appreciated (by anyone who has had similiar / dissimiliar experiences. Abbaddabba 0
Im the resident snobby prick. There's no way of knowing what's wrong, or if anything is even wrong just going by those stats. What stakes are you playing?

It seems I haven't been winning enough showdowns, but have been playing pretty tight, and making proper pot odds decisions - at least I think so.
Actuary 3
hi, welcome.I agree with Abba. He is a prick.I would suggest that you post hands that you are not sure were played correctly. Hands you won and hands you lost. Could be, for example, you over play your draws in small pots and lose value, or c/r too often, or take free cards too much...or could be that 8000 hands is not enough to know that you aren't beating the game. Your true bb/100 may in fact be 1.9BB/100.again welcome and I'll try to help. There are a lot of winning online players here. There's one on this thread.

Although I have played against both actuary and abba. They are good players, any advice they give you can take as being solid advice.Sometimes you may have to wade through the sarcasm though :)Good luck with LHE, I will see you at the tables. I play the same stakes you play.

More so at .50/1 it's good than at 2/4, but it's definitely not bad, as long as you arent ****ing up post flop in marginal situations too often.Could be a bad run. Could be bad play. The "pokertracker for beginners" thread has all of the relevant figures and where they 'ought' to be. But really, those dont say that much.Post hands that you think are "close" decisions. That's usually the best way to figure out if you're doing something particularly bad.

tylerc 0
i think you are too aggro at these stakes, and maybe tighten up preflop.

tylerc 0
2/4 and below, actually im really starting to doubt all my responses. i see successful players with stats like these all the time. why am i responding so much when i clearly dont think about my responses. i play tighter and more passive but that doesnt mean its any better. although your w$sd is pretty low. For myself, I tend to be SLAA when I play .5/1, and TAG when I play 2/4 and up. Actuary on the other hand, has been SLAP all the while, and he is doing VERY well with it.The beauty of posting hands is that you'll get replies from all sorts of winning styles.- Zach
