Lookin For A Quick Tip...

Recommended Posts

I know it sounds basic as hell but its been a while since ive been to the casino... I'm leaving in 2 hours to go play some 1/2 NL $100 max. Any quick tips for a low limit NL game like this that you guys find useful?

If after 30 minutes you cant find the sucker at the table then guess what?

my advice would be to remember that raises in live games are about 3-5x what they are on the internet. so when a guy raises $15 before the flop don't freak out.

Why is this? I would think that games would be tighter live, and this wouldn't be neccesary.

nah yea he's right, it was like that last time i went there. Thanks alot for all the replies, i forgot how useful this forum is.Also, this may just be an opinion thing but with suited connected broadway, are they playable not only late but unraised middle position as well? Lately I've been feeling guilty playing QJ J10 suited mid position

yeah, don't play at tables where the max buyin is only 50 BB
most places dont give you enough choices, i hate that! like the casinos in NY, the 1/2 NL game max buyin is $100...sucksto the OP: have a great time and pick your spots!

My strategy -- extreme tight to begin. A- you get to see the table in play and B- I always like to conserve as much stack as possible... just in case I get the nuts and some idiot calls my all in. Once I've built my stack, I like to see cheap flops with less desirable hands (from late position, don't waste your time from early position). Again. Judgement thing. Oh, and I always like short handed tables.
