what?don't callUTG+2 has a PP at least from the way he's played this.don't 3-bet, it has to work far too oftenYou are posting this because something crazy happened. So what, you have to play the percentages unless super reads.

what do you think button has?
Without knowing anything about the button, I'd say anything from 77-AA, AK-AT. I just find it difficult to come up with any logical reason (key word logical) anyone would 3-bet with AQ or AJ and then play them like that. Sure, free card play with overcards on the flop is a possible explanation for the flop play, but then raising on the river like that? That's just nutty, hence the need for an insane read, which we don't have, so we fold. You don't fold a winner here often enough for it to make sense to call or re-raise.

yeah this looked exactly like AK to me, and I thought a 3-bet might force the other guy out and split the pot (and maybe even fold button, though unlikely)I folded but i wonder if anyone thinks theres any merit to 3-betting?

I think it's too risky a proposition if you just think you're going to be splitting anyway. That's putting in 3 BB to try to win half of a potentially 15 or so BB pot, which of course would be 7.5 BB. So you're basically getting 2.5:1 on this play. That seems like you'd have to be pretty sure it's AK, but I honestly don't think it is nearly often enough to warrant this play. My logic may well be flawed, but either way I don't think that's a profitable play in the long run.

1. Button raised the flop and we did not improve2. We want to make fancy check-3bets on the rvier
I did improve, I now have the nut flush drawi wasnt planning on it, but when the hand happened it occured to me i would probably be splitting with button and UTG could fold with 2 back to him.

I hate the new converter system. Raises need to be in colour again!(Rise, I just noticed that you converted yourself, so don't worry about it, but I'm upset overall with the new forums inability to use the good converter... so yeah).- Zach
