Hotmark777 0
First I think the guy was wrong, keeping your mouth shut when someone goes bust is the best etiqeutte. But it begs the question, How many times do you have to say "what huh?" "did he raise?" "how much?" "i didn't hear him say raise!" Maybe it only takes once to piss off an old timer or regular. I have to admit it does not take very long to get a table irked at you if this is the case. I can't stand it when some guy sits down, Hat, Glasses, iPod, and all night long he is yanking one earplug out going huh? what? did he raise? huh? I am not saying this is the case with you, nor am I advocating his actions. But it only takes once with these regulars. maybe unwittingly earlier in the evening you were this guy and he got irked.Still wrong on his part mind you, but it happens all the time. mtdesmoines 3
Another thing. I know everyone on the internet is a big tough guy. But I'm 6'2" and about 220. I bench either side of 350. I get precious little serious feedback about me, my play, my luck, etc. at all. But if it was me who had been on the receiving end of a comment like this on my way out ... I might have stopped to evaluate the rarely-executed, but extremely effective "dive across the table, scatter his chips randomly across the surface of planet earth and restore some of my own dignity" move. I mean ... really, who's going to gather up this awhole's chips for him and give them back to him in the middle of a meelee?

I mean ... really, who's going to gather up this awhole's chips for him and give them back to him in the middle of a meelee? The nuts!!! nice hand Playing $2-$10 a while back, several of us had been at the table for 3 or 4 hours when an older guy moves over from another table (we were at the "main" game). Guy to my left raises pre flop to $12 two callers including the "new" guy. Player on the left full bets all the way down, the "new" guy is the only caller after the flop. "new" guy rivers a gutshot strait to crack AA for the guy to my left. Guy on my left shakes his head and says "nice hand" very politely, no sarcasm etc.... Old guy gets beligerent and starts going on and on about what he meant by that....this went on through two more hands....finally the guy on my left, after the old guy says he's still trying to learn and wants to know what he did wrong, tells the guy that calling max bets, all the way down with nothing but a gut shot is not a very wise play. Old guy goes off about how he can play any way he damn well pleases etc....for another 5 minutes. After the dealer doing nothing to shut the guy up, despite being asked by several of us, three of us, the three biggest stacks, racked our chips and cashed out. The manager's fliping out cause we all got up and left at once and we tell him that if him and his dealer isn't going to do anything about some beligerent f***ruining what had been a good time we were going to take our money elsewhere. Old guy got tossed, we each got free roll entries into their $100 buy in tourneyand a free round of drinks. Which we drank before leaving. Hit 'em in the pocket is what I say. kennyboy 0
I would have taken the Winston Churchill approach."I may have just donked off $150 dollars, but I can earn that back in an hour. You'll still be fat and ugly in an hour. "

finztotheleft 0
No the reason I lost was because I was playing short stacked and with scarred money. Also some times things are just going bad and no matter what you do your destined to lose. I should not of been playing when I realized that it was going wrong for me but I knew that if I stayed to my game plan eventually my patience would pay off i was wrong but the theory was sound. Also the music was not to loud I play with Bose headphones that I spent 300 dollars on so that it will not bother other people mostly on the plane but also at the poker table(really the only two places I use them)Umm...what patience ? You don't have any. He made a rude comment, no excuse. Then you went ballistic on him. Did you count to 10 ? Did you take 3 cleansing breathes ? I see testosterone and bad manners, not patience. rookie2619 0
The same sort of thing happened to me at a live 3/6 game yesterday. I was already down $150 when this happened. The last hand I played I was heads up with A-K vs. K-10. I had capped it before the flop because this player played hands like K-10 really aggressively. He ended up making an inside straight on the river and when I checked it to him, he checked too and showed the nuts. I asked him why he checked the nuts and he said that he felt sorry for me. I told him thanks, but then told him that it was pretty insulting. I then got up to leave and someone else at the table shouted "Leaving so soon?" I just glared at him but didn't say anything.I was playing my Xbox with my younger brother yesterday. I beat him pretty bad at NFLBlitz. He was soo mad at losing he told me I sucked at video games. My reaction? I told him "Im telling mom!!!"

Mike Matusow 0
Obviously the OP shouldn't have been listening to music when he played. Another classic example of some donkey trying to mimic what he sees on ESPN. I bet he was wearing sunglasses too.MM
