nutzbuster 7
I agree about all the symbolism, as for Vito being wacked, Tony is definitely pissed it was done without his say. Tony was gonna do it anyway, but someone else doing the hit without his consent pissed him off. We are probably gonna realize at the end of the show next year it was all a dream or Tony actually died in the hospital. hmmmmmm..........I still can't get the Eiffel Tower beacon thing outta my mind. It had the same timing as Tony's coma beacon. There has to be a link there, especially all the while Carm was waxing on and on about death, and dying and past lives, and seeing Ade's ghost in her dream walking her foo foo dog near the Louve. So awesome.btw, anyone ever been to Paris? I hate the whole French thing, but I love history and cool architecture and I fell in LOVE with that city. Ironic too because I faught NOT to go there! I wanted to do Lake Como and the Italian Riviera (Cince Tierre, sp?) but the wife won that war, lol. But I am so glad we went. Spent an entire week there and I too, often found myself just staring in awe. It is incredible, even if the french folks were a bit aloof. (we never had a serious problem while there). One of the coolest cities in the world IMO (for culture, history and architecture). We HATED the food!, but found good greek and middle Eastern restaurants in the Latin and Jewish Quarters).Sorry about the travel tangent. Just seeing Carm there last Sunday brought it all back! I've read interviews with Chase and other principal cast where it's made very clear that the scripts and storylines are highly confidential-- I've never read or heard of a cast member, former or present, that has given away any specifics of upcoming episodes/seasons. mbreon 0
Does anybody ever read or visit the Sopranoland forums? Lots of great info there, and since I am obsessed with the show, I can't help but visit there every few days.

screech 0
Anthony Jr. is such a *****...giving his bike away..I laughed my *** off at that. I think the season wasn't nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Sure, it seems like not too much happened, but a lot of it was to set up the second half of the season. While tonight's episode was not as explosive as other season finales, it wasn't really a finale at all.
Jadaki 0
bland ending to a bland seasonQFMFTProbably one of the worse season ending episodes of a HBO show ever. Unless you count the next 8 episodes as part of this season, then the gap is just retarded. And I bet they sell them as seperate seasons on DVD.
Franky Bones 0
I thought the end of this season was horrible at first.. until I had time to think about it.David Chase is big time on metaphors and hidden meanings.. I know there have been many inconstancies and dropped storylines... such as the Russian in the woods thing... but for the most part.. There is a reason behind most of the written madness..I read someone mention on another board "the calm before the storm".. I think the final 8 will resolve everything quite well. There has to be a reason this episode focused on the subjects that it did. AJ becoming a man... Chris showing that he has NOTHING to offer the family. What moron opens his mouth to a drug addict girlfriend about the OATH?? Maybe she is a FED? Either way.. I think it is safe to say.. Chris is on his way out.AJ giving those kids a bike... was probably the smartest move he has ever made. Sure he could have walked down and talked some ****. Then those 3 kids would have killed him. Remember the girlfriend saying her boyfriend used to go kick their ***? They came back didn't they? AJ makes a decision in a split second that shows us.. he is Tony Soprano's son.. and ready to take Chris's spot. Diplomacy will get your further than violence with a lot people, and being able distinguishing between the two is a great trait. It is obvious that AJ has only one route to take. He was born for it. Tony going to speak to Phil is another example of diplomacy. However I think that Phil is going to die.. and the words said will have remained between the two. The war with NY starts when Phil dies. The war with NY starts when Phil dies. anyone notice that Junior basically told bobby he shot tony on purpose and knew what he was doing?OR NOTHING WILL HAPPEN!This show just wandered around weakly directed most of this season. The editing in this last episode was horrible. All the dropped story lines and off tangent episodes this season really slowed things down at times. But if this is indeed some elaborate pre meditated move by the writers to throw us all off, and then, in 8 episodes, come completely full circle and answer ALL the questions....Well...if that happens then my hats off to them for pulling off the roose of the decade and I'll eat my shorts. But they run the risk of taking something great and then tricking it out so much that it ends up completely fu.cked. I think that is what the writers did this season, got too dammn cute for their own good, made it boring. KISS people. Keep It Simple Stupid. The writers have their work cut out for them for the last 8. It'll be interesting to see if they can bring closure to all the questions and properly put this story to rest.P.S. - I heard an interview with the actor that plays Phil that not only do they not have a scrpit yet for the final 8 but they haven't even been told when shooting will start. Not a promising development...

kers2 0
anyone notice that Junior basically told bobby he shot tony on purpose and knew what he was doing?all i heard was him talking about a co-conspiritor.After Bobby left, when he gave the worker Bobby's gift, he said "You scratch my back I'll scratch yours." That made it seem like everything he was saying to Bobby was an act, and he indeed knows what he's doing.
