Thriceknurd 0
I can tell I'm going to like this thread already.....To comment on some previous things...Twin Cinema is a great album by a great band. Neko Case rocks as well. Spoon's Kill the Moonlight is one of my favorite albums of the last few years. Saw Spoon in concert for $8, one of the best shows I've ever been to. I don't listen to indie rock exclusively, but definitely listen to my fair share. Some albums that have been on my rotation lately:Pixies - Surfer Rosa and DoolittleNew Pornographers - Twin CinemaBeat Happening - Black CandyBelle & Sebastian - The Boy With the Arab StrapSpoon - Kill the MoonlightWolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen MaryLCD Soundsystem - LCD SoundsystemNeutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the SeaArctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am That's What I Am NotRilo Kiley - More AdventurousAlways looking for new suggestions though, so I look forward to hearing some input from people here....Have you ever heard of the band Vedera (previously called Veda)? They are very similar to Rilo Kiley. Female vocalist and what not, although Rilo Kiley does have a little more edge to them. Vedera is pure awesomeness.Vedera - Lead Singer Kristin May with Guitarist Brian LittleMust own cd for Indie Rock fans: Veda - Weight Of An Empty Room

GWCGWC 83
Pavement is definatly one of my favorite bands. I heard that some of there songs are being covered by a jazz artist using music theory. The cover sounded nothing even remotely like the original song.Flaming LipsSonic YouthCodineFire HoseCamperVan BeethovenHusker DuPavementFlaming LipsI put the Lips at the beginning and the end of the list because:they should be mentioned twicethey start and end any and all discussion on Indy Musicthey rocK!
