When The River Just Sucks

BB is 48/11/1.65 through 52 handsPokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is UTG with :D, :D. Hero raises, 4 folds, BB calls.Flop: (4.33 SB) :), :), :club:(2 players)BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls.Turn: (6.16 BB) :)(2 players)BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.River: (8.16 BB) :D(2 players)BB bets, Hero folds.Final Pot: 9.16 BBI just couldnt think of a hand that I had beat on the river. Looking for thoughts on the river fold as I think the rest of the hand is pretty standard.

This is really close. QJ and AJ make sense, so does a flush draw. And he doesn't expect you to fold. Still, that is a very scary card, and a lot of people will bet hands they will call with anyway here. He might have KQ or a weak ace. I would call, and make a note.

What's everyone think about the flop cap? We've got position, I think maybe I let him take the lead there with the 3-bet.I grumble and call this river. At most I'd do something like this once or twice per table... everyone will be taking shots at you on the river if you do it any more than that.Jeff

So you would call the flop 3-bet and raise the turn? or call down after the flop 3-bet?

Call the river, but you are probably beat. With the pot that big, you shouldn't overthink too much. Pay him off and make a note that he three bet a flush draw out of position.
