gar 0
I would love to see Andy Beal play in the tournament.
Suited_Up 2
I would love to see Andy Beal play in the tournament.Unfortunately he plays limit.
Zarathustra 0
You forgot the guy that called with jack-high.Wasn't that Jim McManus who IS in the tournament? I know it was Jim who was whining the most at that table.Zara
zimmer4141 0
Don't know if he's been mentioned, but I think Thunder Keller is a big snub as well.
champsox 0
Don't know if he's been mentioned, but I think Thunder Keller is a big snub as well.I hope this is in reference to Thunder being a BIG guy. He won 1 WSOP tourney and doesn't even play WPT Tourneys regularly now.
gar 0
Unfortunately he plays limit.Agreed. But what I like about Andy Beal is extensive HU experience. I think it is more of an adjustment for a ring/tourament player to play HU than the transition from very high limits to no limit.
scottyno 0
Tilly won the WSOP Ladies tourny AND the WPT Ladies Night. I consider those pretty good achievements. I would go as far as to say she is the best female player in the world today.she is at best the 3rd best female player right now, behind jen and cindy violette who made like 4 wsop final tables this year
nutzbuster 7
Dannenman and Gorden should definitley have been invited, no question.
doox 15
Not that I'm a fan, but I think Kathy Liebert has Jen Tilly beat as well.
fckthis 0
Don't know if he's been mentioned, but I think Thunder Keller is a big snub as well.not even close to a snub. He has not done shi t in the last 1.5years(tourney/tv wise). No idea why cardplayer even gave him blog space.

blueodum 0
I don't think what you've done the last two years should be the criteria. Howard Lederer has done very little (hasn't played much poker) recently, but I think he deserves to be there if he wants to be because of "lifetime" achievement. Same thing goes for Chip Reese and Mike Sexton, who don't play many tourneys. What I don't get is why Sheikhan is there. The only thing notable about him is that he got into a fight with Matusow at the ME.He's [Keller] one of the bigger names within the world of high stakes heads up hold 'em online. This tourney isn't online. And I don't think anyone has been included based on their online poker reputation.
yeffy 0
Not that I'm a fan, but I think Kathy Liebert has tried to eat Jen Tilly as well.FYP

Liebert is good too, but i rank Tilly ahead of her just because her voice aggravates me.

One or even two tournaments does not make someone a great player. Tilly has one win in a multitable with 700 women, and a sit n go with 5 women. She is not in the top 5 of women players in the world. She is not even in the top 10.

I'm not even saying I think Tilly is a better player than harman, because I don't. I'm just saying I think Tilly is not just an average poker player, and that she deserved to be in the heads-up championship.

lance harbor 0
What a joke this entire thing is. There is no way on earth tilly is better than jennifer. anyone who says this obviously doesnt know and/or understand poker so its not worth discussing. Also, this entire group of 64 is goofy. They say they need a certain number of woman for tv. Well kathy liebert is 100 times better than evelyn will ever be. Is anyone else sick of evelyn getting invited to EVERYTHING and NEVER EVER EVER EVER ever ever doing well. along with james woods, jerry buss, mike caro, jim mcmanus and about the 15-20 very average at best players who were invited. If they wanted a real top competition, how could Dagostino, Phan, Cassidy and the real players get invited. This field is pretty much a joke designed to help the top players go far without being challenged. I mean fischman plays james woods and dee luong to make the "sweet 16". this is so silly even though dee luong is still better than evelyn, cindy, and about 10 of the 55 or older bad players in this field. Poker is sadly becoming WAY to political. Even guys like david grey and david oppenheim, though being good cash game players have very little head up no limit ability and are outclassed badly by the top players in a no limit environment. But their inclusion is acceptable, unlike the following.....Jerry buss, jeff schulman, barry schulman, evelyn ng, sean sheikhan, chad brown, ernie dureck, rene angelil, cyndi violette, mike caro, dee luong, steve glassner, josh lochner, james mcmanus, david chesnoff. Thats 15 players there that obviously including Dags, Cassidy, phan, gracz, etc would have made a much better overall field and better poker.

I think Jen Harman is probably head and shoulders better than Jen Tilly. But Tilly has just had better recent tourny success. And I'd rather watch Evenlyn play than Liebert anyday. Evenlyn's really hot, and Liebert's really aggravating, who cares whose better at poker?
blueodum 0
I'm not saying she could survive in the Big Game, but in this day and age wwe rank people according to tournament success, not cash game success.Maybe YOU do, but many people don't. And most of the smart people are in the latter group. And if you have to include 6 women, Liz Lieu and Kathy Liebert should definitely be in there. And I'd rather watch Evenlyn play than Liebert anyday. Evenlyn's really hot, and Liebert's really aggravating, who cares whose better at poker? Then you should be complaining about Erin Ness and Shannon Elizabeth being excluded.
