There is more deception in betting that flop then checking it. Your opponents expect you to check that flop if you have a king. Also, I would call this everytime in a $5 MTT. You will be way ahead almost everytime.I doubt Nielson has anything because he vastly overbet the pot and wants you two to fold. Again, call.

Actually, he bet the pot exactly. The guy i'm worried about is the big blind who check raised all-in.

You still have to call. Could be a K with a worse kicker. Also any pair will make this play, figuring the Ks give him cover.Deceptive plays in a $5? To quote Bizzle: blah

Snicker. So true.Call/overjam if necessary.Btw copper-occasionally I get an IM from therrinn saying "never lay queens preflop in a 180 right?" and I say "yeaaaaaaa" and then I get a quick little "rofl he had 77" and then "**** 7 on the flop" as the next two IMs. It is typically quite funny.

I bet this flop. As the earlier poster stated there is more deception in betting than checking. In a $5 tourney I would beat him into the pot. There's way to many donks in these things to even consider folding.

I call every day and twice and sunday.A lot of times you're facing AA or QQ....not to mention KT, K9....and a lot of other King hands.Hell, I've seen AQ, AJ make this play more times than I care to count.More than makes up for the handful of times you're against AK, KQ or K6.

I was playing well in the tournament and thought I might not have the best hand... I have a history of giving people way too much credit in these things, it's something I need to work on.

There's only one hand to be worried about and that's KQ. KQ is the only hand I can think of here that:1. Has you beat2. Is a hand that people won't re-raise your initial raise with.AK is generally going to raise here.Call all day long. i'm guessing dude had 66, or else we wouldn't have this post, but none-the-less, you're going to be ahead a lot of the time.

This wouldn't even be a crying, scared call here for me. It would be a happy excited call. I'd say you're probably ahead about 70-80% of the time in a $5 tourney.
