Well the quality is such that I could if I so chose to, but I'd rather the felt stay RED.

the red felt is sweet. the table is sweet. and the drink cart thin is also very sweet and unique. i like it. especially since black and red were our wedding colors. (to go with the suits of a deck of cards). damn casino theme :D:club: it was friggin awesome! how many people can say they went to a wedding that they played blackjack, roulette, and hold em? (minus people that have gone to weddings in vegas of course)

well we researched a bit online just to get some ideas. But we didn't have a blueprint, and they are sized pretty much with the material that we had. The red table uses plywood that was going to be throw away from a store where my buddy works, and the blue one uses the wood from an old pool table that was in my basement.

I hate having cup holders in the rail cuz everyone's beers get knocked over (we drink from bottles, never............ever............from cans). So the drink carts are on wheels, and we got some cup holders to drop in, like the ones at some casinos

I like the cup holders in the first one.
Ya the red felt is the best we've used, but we've been getting better at making rails so we were thinking of taking that one apart and starting over. The cupholders are ok but like bmw said they can get in the way. They also are a bit small and can't really hold anything bigger then a pop can. For the remodelling I'd like to get some deeper and wider cup holders, if we do them at all.

Just watch out cuz even though a lot of cup holders are JUMBO cupholders, they're still not really that deep, and bottles will almost always have a propensity to tip over, not matter what**EDIT - And also, what kind of foam did you use for the playing surface?

The best stuff we've used is carpet padding. I don't know the name of it...but the best type was the yellow kind that's rough on one side..and smooth on the other.

Yeah I put a layer of carpet padding underneath a 1/2" HD foam on the rail, and just a straight 1/2" HD foam on the playing surface. I think the next table I'm switchin to a 1/4" for the playing surface though. The only reason I don't wanna do carpet padding is that if something spills on it I heard bad things happen :club:

BMWGuy: How did you manage to get the rail so smooth. I ended up with some small creases / folds on the edge? Any advice? How do you both (BMW and dEV) find playing with the padding under the playing surface? Mine is just felt over the plywood.
