Turned 100 To 1000 Last Night(kinda Long)

Recommended Posts

so i been down and out lately and havent played much...i didnt have that much spending money and was kinda busy with work... so i look in my mail and see a local casino gives me 25 free bet... so i go to the casino and i have 105 bucks with me...i know the poker room is running a 1/2 game with 50-200 buy in... so i take the free bet and put my own 25 cash on the table and play it..i win with a 18 with the dealer busting and she pays me 50 dollars..so i take the 25 cash out and play the two greens(25 chips)..dealer has a A showing but i look at my cards to see a blackjack..so i ask for even money and im up 100$.... i think cool..i have 200 and i take that to the poker room where there are like 6 guys playing in the 1/2 NL...i play tight for a few rounds and im up alittle ...then i find 55 so i limp in and so do 3 others...4 see the flop...flop comes As5d10d...i fill up on the river and a guy pays me off with his A and then I have about 350 in front of me.. next big hand comes when i have about 400 and dealt 10c8c so i limp in but the button raises to 10 and 3 people call in front of me so with the pot odds i call...the flop comes Ac10d3c...everyone checks to the button who is one to my left..he bets out 15 dollars...again all three call in front of me..so i call with my 4 to the flush...i callthe turn brings a 9h and everyone checks to the button who bets out 20 dollars..one player fold next player calls then the one right of me goes all in for his last 36...so i have to call with the pot odds(felt like i was getting sucked in but i knew i was the only one with the flush draw)..so i call...then the original bettor saids....."i reraise all in"....i say you cant do that because the all in player didnt make a raise so you could just call or fold..i didnt want to call another 80 dollars he had left...the dealer agrees with me and he calls...the river brings a Jc making my flush ...so i bet out 100...the button calls with his last 80 and the other player folds...button show AK and i take a huge pot...now im up to about 700 or so and defiantly playing big stack poker....few rounds later i hit a set and bust another guy with a board of K J 4...i had the 444..and dude goes all in with K7..i checked the flop..one to my left bet 20..call..call...i raise 80 togo and then the dude goes all in for 100 total..20 more to me..im up to about 900 or so and grind my way to 1000....then i cash out...sorry it was long....something to read while you guys are bored...

good job. don't let it go to your head too much, but enjoy it.
it was just a good night..i think i played well and i hit some flops...same night..a lady folds pocket KK preflop...i think she played it totally wrong....3 players..first player bets 25 dollars..she just calls( i think this is where she went wrong) third player raises 100 to go...then she fold face up...the raiser just chuckled...looked like pee wee herman

It's been 10 minutes, and there's no TP/MM reply yet? This place is slipping. :club: And I love the lady that folds kings. In a cash game. Preflop.Low limit NL holdem is NOT the place to be making "big laydowns"

I like how you kept referring to your "pot odds." Just because a bunch of people enter a pot doesn't meant you have the proper odds to call. I would agree with probably calling the flop but once you missed on the turn it's time to let your hand go especially since you're not even drawing to the nuts. I mean, if you hit two pair would you think you were still in the good? you were drawing to the 4th nuts i believe and you could have been drawing a lot slimmer than you thought. just my two cents.sorry, one more thing...TP/MM

Funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing. You just know this OP is one of those guys at the table who willgo on and on when he sucks out and catches a hand about how he "had the odds" or whatever...

The turn call is unbelievably straight forward. Hes getting like 6:1.But yea his use of pot oddds preflop sucks.

100 to 1000 took you all night geeeez. I did that a few weeks ago in 1 hour and 15 minutes at a craps table, turned 100 into 1400 on one guys roll. PC/MM
