I've read several articles on Rounders recently and the thought of maybe making a sequel. Think about this. Rounders is undoubtably the most well known Poker movie ever. Everyone who has played poker has seen this movie and or heard of it. If they were to make a sequel, ecspecially now with the boom in full swing, what do you think they could do with it? Here is my idea and feel free to come up with your own story line.Rounders 2First off bring back the origional cast to the best of their ability. I figure it wouldn't be too hard to at least get Damon and Norton. Story takes place not where it left off, it begins showing Damon. He has become an up and coming player on the circuit. He has cashed in several events but as of yet still hasn't won an event in the WSOP or WPT. He lives in Vegas now or in Atlantic City. Have the WSOP begin again and when he gets there decides to enter the first event which is no-limit holdem. There he meets Worm again. Of course after what happened in the first movie they are far from friends, but Worm begins to try to rekindle their relationship after he sees how Damon has become. The finale of the movie could be a final table of, really any one of the events preferable the main event, he has made it and setting at the table are as follows.DamonDaniel NegraenuDavid WilliamsTeddy KGBWorm?(I figure he couldn't make it, but who knows? Maybe that would be an interesting twist)Now these are just five of the players, the other five use your own imagination. By the time they make this there could be some more up and coming talent that they could put there, like Patrick Antonius or Gavin Smith. When it gets down to heads up, have Damon face off against Worm to finally end their grudge. Or if it should be more realistic, have Damon go against Johnny Chan like in the first Rounders or Even Daniel N. Could be interesting.Best regards,Andy

Speaking of Matt Damon. He was excellent in Team America!Seriously, if they were to make a rounders 2, I think the climactic scene would be Matt building up enough bankroll to sit in the big game with the likes of Doyle, Greenstein, Negreanu, Ivey, etc. If he were to have a heads up battle for the finale, it would have to be against someone who can look the bad guy. I mean Negreanu would be intimidating, but he's too likable. Maybe, Ivey since he's quiet and stone cold.Ohhh even better(just got so many ideas flying here). How about Andy Beal or an Andy beal type to play heads up. They would have to change some facts though but I can hear Mike McDermont in the background saying something like this."Sure, I'm a winning Poker player. I've won some big tournies and done well at the cash games, but there's one game and one man that I haven't beaten. His name is Andy Beal, a billionare banker from Texas. He came to vegas ten years ago to try to beat the pros. His idea was to set the limits so high that he could intimidate the pros and win. Unfortunately for Andy the pros or the corporation were not intimidated and took millions from him. Andy, though stating several times he was done with poker, was relentless. He read books, studied the game, set up a staff to run numbers, calculate odds, and help his play. Andy is very analytical and dedicated. He built his fortune from nothing. He was determined to be the best and after years of refining his skills at High Limit Texas Hold em' he became just that. He came to Vegas a couple of years ago and cleaned the pros out. It's rumored that he took 50 million from the corporation. Some say a hundred million. A few pros were completely broke after this. People say Beal completely dominated anyone they sat in front of him. His style was untouchable and his skill was overwhelming. Andy will only play $150k/$300k Limit Holdem. Needless to say, no pro will play him. Well, no pro until now. I'm lucky enough to have backers that believe in me. I'm about to play in the richest poker game that's ever been played. Where millions of dollars swing back and forth from one hand to the next. Six days, sixty hours. By Friday, I will have lost everything, completely broke or... I will be the richest pro to ever play the game. This man is said to be unbeatable, even by the best to ever play the game. Am I committing financial suicide, or am I what I truly feel I am... the best"or something like that...heh

The Climax would deffinatly be playing heads up with Hellmuth, bluffing all in then catching perfect to win 50million off him. Hellmuth goes balistic pulls out a 9mm kills worm, rapes that lawyer chick then masturbates furiously over the flop.. end of movie.

It should show Damon at various games prior and leading up to the WSOP.Teddy KGB and Worm make appearances and Damon's new love interest is former Cheetah's Stripper/turned card shark Jessica Alba.

My idea for the sequel to "Rounders": I would call it "The Rounder Supremacy" with Matt Damon reprising his role as the spy Jason Bourne, now turned poker professional. He must foil an attempt on Mike Sexton's life at the WPT in Paris. At the final table, a sniper is hidden in the crowd waiting for Phil Hellmuth to have a tantrum. This diversion would allow the sniper to take out Mike with a silencer. But Jason knows of the plot and must prevent Phil from losing any hands. As it is later discovered, Vince van Patten is the head of a worldwide conspiracy to take over the WPT, and ordered the hit.

You all stole my idea for a rounders 2! but seriously i was thinking about this last night and i like the whole idea of Mike and Worm meeting back up. I would like to see kinish (spelling) back in the movie cuz he is the coolest. But seriously Rounders 2 would be sweet

you need a story line. there first rounders wasnt strictly poker, Damon had to play poker to get enough money to pay off worms debt. Dont know a storyline atm, but I think it should inclue:1) Matt at the WSOP main event, when the movie was made, cant remeber. At the end of the movie, where he is going to the world series in the cab, have him at that saying something like ''Binions horseshoe casino, final table 2003'' and have mike knocked out by chris moneymaker after getting all in as a 96% favourite, having Farha and Harrington in the back ground would be cool too.2) Ben Affleck3)Internet Poker4) Real life casinos and events (Borgata and Bellagio wud be cool to see)5) James Woods6) real life players, not too many, coz its not something the general public wud really wanna see. Maybe have them in the background or summin, or a clip of Damon watching the 4k/8k game at the Bellagio.Just some things i think theres gotta be in R2

Nice hand, sir.

Rounders 2 takes place right where the 1st left off, with Matt Damons character getting on the bus headed for Vegas, which is coincidently driven by Doyle Brunson, Matt meets a guy played by Keanu Reeves who says the bus will explode if they go under 60 mph. The only way to save the lives of everyone on the bus is to track down, and runover Gus Hansen.
