suicideking 0
I am having an extremely hard time getting ahead at FT. I used to play Party and Paradise with profits showing on both. I moved to FT to try it out. I will go up a buy in, then get coolered, or rivered by a moron hand that catches. Does anyone have any advice? I am almost completely break even at this site and I am extremely competitive and want to break the game. My playing style works at the other sites, but it isn't here so far. Any tips for FT players? turd ferguson 1
The players are just better on FullTilt overall. What you need is a lot of practice and to work on your game a lot. As far as general advice goes, play tighter and more aggressive.
DLizzle 0
I profit the most on Full Tilt. not sure why, but I do.
ajs510 122
I can't stand Full Tilt, but I don't play online anymore in any event. The beats I took on Tilt were a major contributor to that decision though, so I know how you feel. Seems like everyone but you is capable of hitting a draw there.
scottyno 0
lets see, you won on party and paradise, but you can't win on ftp where the play quality is a bit better and the players are more rocky hmm.... it wouldn't make any sense to just leave and go back to the site where you were winning would it? nah, i guess logic doesnt make any sense does it

Are you calling raises with hands that you need to fold?
suicideking 0
Well, I play NL, usually .25/.50 or .50/$1. I do not think that my problem is playing hands I should not. For example, two times yesterday, in the BB, I flop a K high flush. Both times I was against the flopped nut flush. I have pocket Aces and lose to J9 when the 9 on the river gives him two pair. I am very aggressive when I get a hand, willing to push almost any edge when I feel I am ahead. I know that this style will have a large variance, but it just seems like I cannot get a hand to hold up and was wondering if I should back off a bit? I know you can't wait for the nuts, but you can't fold AK vs AQ on an A69 rainbow flop. It just sucks when that inevitable Q hits the river. Speaking of this, it seems like every suckout hits the river. I may just be imagining it, but it seems like I expect the river card to outdraw me now.
grgimpy 0
I play limit 1/2 and 2/4 on that site regularly and have been turning a 2-3 bb/100 profit over 10k hands. The players are better on average, but there are pleny of donkeys to go around. It sounds like you are just on the down side of variance right now, so if you are a solid player you should turn a profit. B/c the players are tighter, extra aggression at the right moment (when you raise pre-flop and are in good position for example) really helps your profit. If you are interested in limit, I would suggest trying it on that site b/c I regularly call big pots with ace high and win them after hitting nothing with AK for example. If you don't want your nutts kicked in stay aggresive.

BIG_L_RIP 0
I am officially done with Full Tilt. I lost 4 monster hands today for my entire stack to runner-runner straight/flush/boat scenarios. And it's not as if I check/ call to the river. All my money was in each time as a significant favorite, per usual. Today was simply the last straw. I honestly think that site is regulated to keep people breaking even at best. Sounds manic and paranoid, but I need no further convincing that what I've witnessed. I realize it seems like selective memory, but I have no honest recollection of rivering someone in a huge pot for his entire stack. That happens to me with far too much frequency. I am done with FT. insano 0
I have been a steady winner on FT for well over a year now. Instead of blaming the site you might want to sit down and examine your play. Bad beats are going to happen at every site. How many threads have you seen titled "Full Tilt Sucks" "Party is rigged" "Riverstars", etc.....
iggymcfly 0
It seems like the concept of luck in poker is incredibly hard to understand for beginning players. They want to be able to directly control the outcome of every game they play, and when they make the right play and still lose, they determine that they must have been cheated.
