KowboyKoop 0
Uhhhhh.....maybe?? Wow...I don't know, I think I bet the turn for more info.....by checking the turn I honestly have zero idea where he is at. Probably your bet on the river is alright....probably not ahead very often, so checking it down might just be giving the pot away, and if he doesn't have a diamond, it would be a pretty tough call for him...probably a good play. HurricaneKyle 0
Great play, because you will lose 99% of the time if you check it down. This is something I've just incorporated into my game where there is a four flush on the board. Looking at the cards on the flop, the only he could have would be the ace. This is not likely given the action, you are forcing him to make a helluva tough call and most players don't have the fortitude to make it.
CobaltBlue 662
Wow...I don't know, I think I bet the turn for more info.....by checking the turn I honestly have zero idea where he is at.I probably would've continued through with a bet on the turn if it wasn't a king or ace. The fact that it was also a diamond didn't really put me at ease either. As it played out, I guess it looks like I'm potentially check-raising the flush draw and slowplaying once it got there. Once my opponent checks, I'm pretty sure that it was a scary card for him also. I'm also slightly worried about the J , but without one of those two cards, I think he's got a hard time calling the river.
iggymcfly 0
This is a great spot to bet the river. About half of the time here, he'll have a high diamond and you'll feel like an ass, but the other half of the time wher you take down $60 with a $30 bet will more than make up for it. This river bet is very +EV.
top2pear 0
I concur with the above. Checking down probably gets you beat, but the river bet does give you a chance. Only a donk of epic proportion calls that bet with no diamond....unless you are that easy to read.
tufat23 0
i've been finding my success rate at pushing people off TPGK OOP is vastly lower than when being in position. I probably would've continued through with a bet on the turn if it wasn't a king or aceI agree that the way you've played it, you fire on 4th street, however I'm chomping at the bit to fire if an A comes. Funny thing is i get just as excited in exactly the same way when i can bluff at scare cards as i do when a perfect card has just made my hand. This is because both times i think i'm taking down the pot.I'd have liked smooth calling the flop, and check raising the scare card turn. Csots a bit more if you're wrong, but a scarier bet and more chance of making him put down TPGK. (by the way a set is going nowhere IMO)Firing into a 4-flush board is a good play, cant fault it, although maybe i'd like to shoot $45. I love to make it look like i'm trying to bluff (obviously not too hard here) because it scares people and if you get caught out just do the same again when u do have something and see them call u with nada. Either the players i play against are really bad or absolute geniuses when i get caught with air and they have A3 on JT3 flops and I've fired 1/2-3/4pot on every street in position (mini rant). However this is great advertising so I always get loose action after looking like a donk (or even try to look like im steaming).Takes a very good or very bad player to call $45 here without a Ad-Jd. Check on turn tells me TPGK (85%) or air(5%) with 10% chance he was actually on either a set or a flush& backdoor straight . When people dont fire on the turn like you did, i usually find its cos they've given the hand up and play accordingly.

I need to get better at counting bluff outs.
