bdc30 0
Lately the "general poker" forum seems to have becomethe "lets talk about whatever tourney I'm in now" section.Should these threads about people asking to be "railed" ordiscussing tourneys be moved into the Tournament Forum,or do you guys think they're better in the General Forum?? zimmer4141 0
It's better than having 100 threads of OMG, $10 Million tourney!!!Will Daniel play that tourney?Hottest Chick in PokerOMG, my AA got crackedand the like...
GrinderMJ 0
I have to be the person doing it the most, so if it really bothers the other posters, I will stop and maybe just make threads if i ever make a final table. If it seems like the majority of the responses in this poll are negative, I will stop.
Bubba83 0
The only reason I come to the General Forum is for these tournaments. It's sort of exciting to be a spectator and support Full Contact Poker dudes every Sunday, especially now that football is over.
DLizzle 0
Those posts are my favourite, especially when I'm in the tourney. I really don't like most of the topics and posts around here, but those are cool.
dmb41 0
I actually enjoy railing others and having people come rail me when I make it deep into a tourney. It adds that a sense of "community" and it's nice to be able to cheer for your friends and actually see them in action.
GrinderMJ 0
I think it's awesome when people make these threads really, because the players at times are playing for thousands and need all the support they can get. I love having people on the rail when I'm closing in on big cash, and it helps me stay focused and on point. I wouldn't want to make a seperate forum for these threads, but that's just me. ElToasto 0
I enjoy these threads as well but do think it would be a good idea to start a seperate section for them. We wouldn't want general to become an interesting/enjoyable place anytime soon, now would we.
finztotheleft 0
I enjoy hearing about who's getting to final tables.I'm not as fond of the "I'm in the final 27 of a 30 person MTT" threads.

No_Neck 0
come on it is one of the few things that makes general worth having.
gatortom64 1
Agreed. I like rooting for others when my cards are running cold. Let them stay, and choose your posts to read by the thread title.
JBradburn6 0
If it's a relatively big buy-in, threads for the tourney are acceptable. If it's a small buy-in, keep threads to final table (or final 2).
No_Neck 0
I have never made a final table (really don't play MTT's) but I think it helps people to have others watching them, almost shames them into doing the right thing.

I wouldn't want to make a seperate forum for these threads, but that's just me.Well put Grinder. It's just my 2 cents, but I think the overmoderation of moving topics to the many branches here gets to be a bit much. Like the other day a topic entitled "How did u take your tourney game to the next level" wasn't a "strategy" thread, but after gaining a little steam it was quickly moved and abrubtly died in the strat sect. If there was a "I'm at a FT come rail Forum", it would likely be a forum that nobody would visit. General is like the news of our FCP community. When one of our FCPer's is making a run, it's news. Just like reporting the Lakers won behind Kobe's 31. So if I happen by general and see someone i know at a FT...I want to tune in and give support. That's just my take!Grinder 1K a week...OUCH! dscoot 0
i dont spend my life on this forum. if i did, i could understand your point that the forum is being spammed with these final table threads....but like i said, i dont spend more than 5 hours a week looking here, so it obviously doesnt bother me at all
DrawingDeadInDM 0
I've suggested a railbird-type forum before. And combining Bad Beats and Brag Posts into one forum.Good lucking finding anything worthwhile in this forum, though.
loogie 115
Please keep these out of the tournament forum. None of us that frequent it gives a rat's ass about railing anyone.
Jordan 1
what if im up 5 buy ins playing HU NLHE?can i make a post looking for rail birds?sike...i actually enjoy the tourney threads...even i dont rail i like to hear how other fcpers are doing...and def. are better than 75% of the crap in general.this place prob be better off with only allowing "Im in 'x' tourney" instead of the mindless dribble.- Jordan

Too often I see posters post every single tourny that they're in, that is not needed. I think that its kinda silly when someone posts, hey, the next stars 10+1, who's in. C'mon, that is just a waste of space. If you have a real shot at making a FT or are at a FT with a decent stack, then by all means, post a thread. But, lets try to keep these to a neccesary minimum. That is the proper place for a thread about theory, maybe if you and other people were willing to go to those forums, these situations wouldn't happen. Isn't the point of joining a poker forum(more often then not) to improve your game and talk strategy. JS
