The initial raiser, LoveJoy, is a rock. I've seen him raise to $10 before and the two times he showed down, he had AA and QQ. That's why I pushed right away. He'd usually been folding from the CO and button. Anyways, sorry for the brag post, but I'm excited.

APBT-Marcel 0
The guy who raised was a rock so you pushed immediately thinking he had AA or QQ............Sounds like a bad idea to me. You got lucky that he didn't have AA or I guess you would have hit your set on the flop anyways.
Limit Player 0
I'm not good enough to fold kk preflop. If I reraised and he pushed I was calling, so I wanted to be the aggressor. I didn't "know" he had anything, but I knew it wasn't trash. After playing against him for many more hands, I came to realize he wasn't as rock-ish as I first thought, and he could have called my all-in with 10's through Aces, AK, and that's probably about it.That was also his raising range, so there was only one hand I needed to worry about.I could be wrong, or off base. I'm just starting to play 1-2 nl and finding it a challenge (for me).
jefferey 0
By your last comment, I can tell you are thinking, which is great. But I think your thought process might be a little flawed on this particular hand. You mentioned "If I reraised and he pushed I was calling, so I wanted to be the aggressor. I didn't "know" he had anything, but I knew it wasn't trash. "Personally, with KK, I really want him to call given the range of hands you indicated he may hold (TT-AA, or AK). I don't think you want to bully him out of the hand and take the $10 pot do you? Or maybe you really really hate variance and would prefer the $10 over making a larger pot, heads up, that you may lose if he hits a miracle. That is, of course, totally reasonable if that is your preference. I, personally, would have made a smaller raise and played out the hand. Of course, if I knew he was going to fold or call regardless of the size of the raise, I would definitely push in like you did... but I suspect this would be rare if he had the lower end of the range and is a solid player. Limit Player 0
TP/MMI was waiting for that, thank you.Unfortunately, I was playing with scared money because I only had $400 on this site, but I know I'm good enough for 1/2 and there were 4 very bad players at this particular table.anyways, I didn't mean to give a serious reply to your tongue-in-cheek comment. So, I'm going to quit work, sell my car, and play 5/10 nl full time.

InertGrudge 0
I won a $600 pot at Caesars Indiana this weekend with 10-7 offsuit in MP.Why did I play 10-7o in MP? Because...I'm a FCP'er.So, I have FCP to thank for me being $300 richer right now.In fact, I think I have FCP to thank for the fact that I have any money at all right now. PhishForChips 0
Oh my, another thread filled with FCP donks that advocate laying down KK preflop. Let me tell you donks this: NEVER lay down KK in a cash game. Even if you know the other guy has aces, you will lose more $ over time by second guessing yourself than taking a hit in the shortterm. Anyone that says "he could have had aces, you should have folded" is a losing player. Guranteed.
