duffshot 0
Hi all, I made a $40 deposit at Pokerroom.com (yes I know I should be playing at FCP and I will, I promise) back on Dec. 28th and with the exception of a few SNG's I've been sticking to .5/1 NL HE. Today I cracked $1000, is this something that everybody has done or should I take some pride in this. I know it's not a huge deal, but it's a start. I withdrew $500 (to recoup 2 years of online poker losses) but it's nice to know that I'm finally a winning player. When (if) I make it back to a thousand I plan on moving up in limits...to 1/2. Though I think I could compete at higher limits I don't want to put too much stress on the bankroll. Good plan or not? Thanks

ThanksIt is a good plan you have going, however, this two month good run does not make you a "winning player" after two years of losing, it just means that you are on your way. Keep on the same path and you seem to be well on your way though.Edit: Oops..I thought you were playing Limit. For No Limit..you are out of your bankroll. Better drop down and build.....as good as things are going now...things can go just as bad very quickly.
TheCinciKid 0
This is not a flame. You're playing out of your bankroll. You've been lucky so far not to go broke. You need an absolute, rock bottom minimum of 10 buy-ins at any level of NL. If you currently have $500 in your account you should be playing no higher than .25/.50 and probably should be playing .10/.25 until you have 20 buyins for each new level. For your sake I hope you actually are a winning player, but I'd say at this point the jury is certainly still out on that. $40 to $1000 is something gamblers do all the time, and you definitely have been gambling with the limits you're playing. Get back within your bankroll and hopefully you won't bust.

That doesn't mean that you're not a good player. It just means that you need to keep this up consistently to know you're a good player. You def. should've started at waaaay smaller stakes at that bankroll.

EStormOk 0
I deposited $200 a month and a half ago and am down to $125. Is that a big deal or not? I see it as a big deal, I am leaking chips at a lower rate than normal.EStormOk
96roadster 0
Nice job on the rush, however at the stakes your playing i would say its hard to determine if your actually a winning player. When your ona big rush the game seems super easy. If you have $500 in your account right now you should be playing the $25 games, when you reach $1000 give the $50's a try and see how they treat ya. Goof luck
KowboyKoop 0
Three days ago, I put $100 in my Pstars account and now I have $5,934,032 in my account from playing 5/10 NL. Is that a big deal? Should I TP/MM!??! LOL!?
